The Goat — Featuring NTS Radio x Frank Dorrey
First up, we’ve got a naughty little collab between NTS Radio and artist Frank Dorrey. The legendary radio station have linked up with the rapper-stroke-visual-artist and unveiled a collection of tees — and an air freshener? Why not, eh? Frank made his first appearance on NTS at the end of November (playing tunes by everyone from Chief Keef to Justice) though he’s more well known for his trippy digital art, which makes the minutiae of everyday look like something out of a particularly heady mushroom trip. We reckon the piece that everyone will want under their Christmas tree this year is the Lovers Tee, which you can shop here.
Who actually likes eggnog? We don’t think anyone really does and that’s why we’re making a case for rum to be the en-vogue drink of the festive season. Namely, it’s all about Vapoura Rum, which takes its name from a species of moth native to the UK. Why? Because Vapoura is the first premium rum to be produced from the start to finish on British soil. That doesn’t mean they’ve compromised anywhere, though. Vapoura is a double-distilled, small batch and ultra-premium rum with a perfectly-blended infusion of botanicals and warm spices. You could shove it in a cocktail, but it’s so good that you could drink it straight. Shop here.
Another collab for you now. This time, it’s one between Paula Van Dyck, an emerging talent at Antwerp’s Fashion Academy, and the Antwerp-based brand, Essentiel Antwerp. That’s a lot of Antwerps in one sentence — apologies. Anyway, this is no run of the mill capsule. Featuring four reworked designs from one of Van Dyck’s acclaimed university collections (which was inspired by a satirical art film) it’s all about feminism, decadence and rebellion, while encapsulating what it is about both Van Dyck and Essentiel Antwerp Antwerp that makes them so cool. The standout piece for us has to be this bodysuit, which has a unique little cut-out and floaty sash-esque detail. It’s the kind of top that gives a whole new meaning to “jeans and a nice top” — wear this out on a jaunt to the pub when you’re back home for Crimbo and people literally won’t know what to do with themselves. Shop the entire collection here.
One for the crep-heads! Reebok have just unveiled their collab with none other than Aries. Essentially, it’s the Italian streetwear label’s take on Reebok’s iconic Instapump Fury 94 silhouette. There’s two colourways (one in a classic black and one in a metallic silver) and they’re perfectly in line with the lads behind the cult-y brand. They are, by the way, Sofia Prantera and Fergus Purcell, who founded Silas and who did branding for Palace, respectively. These are about to be the shoes of choice for the likes of Iris Law — take our word for it. We’re sad to report that these have sold out, but you can sign up to be notified of any restocks here.
Winter-ready outerwear and everything in between? Look no further than OPEN YY’s WH24 collection. We don’t have to do too much of a sell on this one — standout pieces come in the form of faux suede jackets, oversized woollen coats, plush faux fur, and velvet outerwear, all of which will make your blustery commute a whole lot more stylish. You can shop on their website as well as via END and ssense.
Okay, another one for the crep-heads. Nike have just teamed up with cool girl makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench to create two exclusive colourways of the Air Max Dn. It’s a fitting little collab for Ffrench — drawing inspiration from female athletes and how they effortlessly blend sport and fashion, it’s perfectly aligned with everything she’s doing in the makeup world. The two colourways are also classic neutrals (namely beige and chocolate brown) making them suitable to go with just about anything. They launch on December 20th and we don’t reckon they’ll be around for long. More info here.
Last but not least, we’ve got a collection from Joshua Samuels that’s all about one of one pieces that prioritise upcycling and being all green — something of a welcome change when Crimbo can be quite the opposite. The collection is by no means run of the mill either — taking the form of jumpers and tees adorned with whimsical monsters, it’s as much a celebration of being environmentally conscious as it is about the individuality of the customers buying them. People got their hands on this one quick, but you can sign up to be notified of their next drop here.
