The Goat — Featuring The North Face

Welcome to HUNGER’s The Goat, where we let you in on all the hottest drops and new releases. Less hype, more the things you actually need on your radar.

Obviously people have been wearing The North Face as streetwear for ages, but that’s not really what it’s for, is it? Actually, now it is. The Swiss brand has just dropped its first ever streetwear capsule. Dubbed Red Box, the collection’s whole schtick is that it’s relaxed and oversized but still premium. It’s also got a bit of a ’90s edge since it’s inspired by some of The North Face’s most iconic products from that time (as well as from the ’70s, but that’s not quite as fun). Complete with new, snazzy Red Box labels, the pieces span everything from classic down jackets and waterproofs to trackie sets. And, by the way, they’re calling this the ‘inaugural’ Red Box collection, so it’s not going to be the last. Check it out here.

You’ve probably spotted the likes of Megan Thee Stallion and Bree Runway sporting a cute, bedazzled little hoodie and hotpant set. That, my friends, is the Enemy set from Named Collective. Unsurprisingly, it’s become their best-selling collection and so, of course, the east London brand has expanded it. The latest addition to Enemy is an adorable pink set with black rhinestones. Named Collective really knows how to hit that sweet spot between cute and cool, doesn’t it? It’s not just about the co-ords, though — there’s lots more to Enemy. You can get sweatpants, tube tops, bikinis… Spoilt for choice, really. Take a peek here.

You wouldn’t usually associate Onitsuka Tiger’s sneakers with sports (it’s called fashion, darling), but the Japanese brand has actually just brought out a pair of trainers that are fitting for both. Named the Tigrun — nice little play on words there — they have all the gear a running shoe needs, without the ugliness or boring-ness. They also come in six really fun colourways, including, of course, the brand’s signature yellow. Have a look here.

Remember the early-2000s music videos where the camera would just zoom in on the singer’s lipgloss and jewellery? That’s exactly the delicious Y2K vibe that London-based jewellery brand PHORIA taps into. Imagine the energy of a belly button ring or body chain but across all your jewellery. Fab, right? You can find just that in the brand’s new Crystallise collection. So far, the Pierced Drop Rings and Stackable Drop Rings have been released and they’re bloody gorgeous (not to mention perfect for channelling your inner J Lo). See for yourself here.

If you’re a Londoner, you’re probably more used to rage walking than countryside frolics. That’s something the new collab between Keen (the ‘hybrid’ footwear makers) and sneaker brand AFEW Store are trying to sort out with their Past Forward shoe. Essentially, it’s made with a mind to transform walking into more of a “meditative” act, even for city dwellers. The result of that is an “open air” design (it has holes in it) with influences from Eastern meditation practices and plenty of hashtag mindful vibes — probably something most people could use more of. Have a gander here.
