The Goat — Featuring Nude Project

Welcome to HUNGER’s The Goat, where we let you in on all the hottest drops and new releases. Less hype, more the things you actually need on your radar.

September is just a few days away, which means holiday season is over and it’s time to be chained to our desks once again. Boohoo. Fittingly, Barcelona-based brand Nude Project has dropped the ironically named Out Of Office collection. An homage to the back to work scaries, it’s a satirical take on workwear. The hero piece of the collection is a quite hilarious and relatable (to everyone except Addison Rae) t-shirt that reads, ‘Heading to work because I was too shy to dance on TikTok in 2020’. Of course, there’s lots more to the collection though. It includes everything from loosely fitting overshirts and hoodies to wide-leg jeans to make going back to work as painless as possible.  Physically speaking that is. Sadly they can’t help with the mental aspect — although a funny t-shirt might take the edge off a bit. Shop the men’s range here and women’s here.

We love Bella Hadid. She’s staunchly pro-Palestine, gives us unmatched streetwear inspo and makes bloody good perfume. The latest addition to her Ôrebella fragrance company is Eternal Roots. The fifth scent in the line, it’s Hadid’s take on putting strength and sweetness in a bottle. More tangibly, that means blending deep woody notes with lighter fruity ones resulting in a scent that’s both earthy and uplifting. And the new terracotta colour of the emblematic geode-shaped bottle suits that pretty perfectly. Another thing that makes Ôrebella scents stand out though, is the perfumes’ Ôrelixir base — which is essentially a blend of nourishing oils that brings both a skincare element to the perfume and adds a bit of lovely sheen on the skin when you apply. In the UK, you can only buy Eternal Roots from Selfridge’s (fancy), so order it here.

As Hadid tapped into when she created crystal-inspired perfume bottles, one thing we can rely on as civilisation declines is precious stones. Where to buy them? Japanese jewellery company Gagan. Inspired by human connection, all the pieces are handmade in Tokyo’s Setagaya neighbourhood, meaning each piece is a little bit unique and you can feel that it’s made with love. Genuinely. Gagan also only uses responsibly sourced metals and natural stones, so you can sleep at night knowing you don’t have blood diamonds on your fingers. The latest collection includes everything from delicate necklaces to chunky rings, in both silver and gold — and it’s totally genderless, which we love to see too. Get yours here.

It wouldn’t be The Goat without some trainers, would it? New Balance has released its seasonal lookbook showcasing its new styles. The general theme is British heritage, specifically centred around the Flimby factory’s (that’s the brand’s production site in Cumbria) approach to craftsmanship. The lookbook also includes what New Balance is calling “friends and family of the brand”, which translates as actor Charlie Cooper, rapper Bashy, radio DJ and presenter Flo, skateboarder Charlie Birch and artist Jazz Grant, all of whom, according to the brand, embody the “spirit of the UK”. As for the trainers themselves, the new 991v2, 1500 and Allerdale silhouette are all featured, which you can buy here.
