The Goat — Featuring PUMA x Lack of Guidance

Welcome to HUNGER’s The Goat, where we let you in on all the hottest drops and new releases. Less hype, more the things you actually need on your radar.

Let’s start with a history lesson (every day’s a school day, after all). Did you know that New Balance has been using its signature Abzorb cushioning since 1993? Nope? I didn’t think so. Well, it has, and it’s just given the technology a little glow-up with its Abzorb 2000 model. Debuted at Milan Design Week back in April, this spongy goodness isn’t just being used for comfort — it’s actually been integrated into the design. Take a peek at the Y2K-inspired bouncy sole and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. Beauty and brains from NB there.

Not a shoe person? That’s fine. Louis Vuitton has, literally today, just dropped the Express, a new bag that’s basically an ode in accessory form to the romance of train travel. It’s part of creative director Nicolas Ghesquière’s FW25 collection and fun fact: Express was actually what LV originally called the 1930s Speedy bag. As such, the Express harks back to the Speedy with its soft design and body bands (which allow you to wear it multiple ways). It also comes in three sizes and a bunch of colours. Spoiled for choice, really.

Still buzzing about the Lionesses’ win on Sunday? Well, TOMME Studio has launched a limited edition collection to celebrate women’s football. How so? The streetwear brand has teamed up with three UK-based female artists — Tegan Price, Nicole Chui and Titi Finlay — to create bespoke footballs and football bags that are both very fun and important in showing that footie isn’t just about sweaty men kicking balls about.

PUMA’s King Indoor has been a sneaker staple for years (since 1999, to be precise), but it’s just gotten the streetwear treatment courtesy of Amsterdam-based brand Lack of Guidance. It’s fair to say it’s cooler than ever — sleek, all-black, smooth leather, stitched detailing. The crossover between football heritage (there’s a theme going on here) and contemporary fashion is front of mind with this one, and honestly, everyone needs a shoe that works whether you’re just mooching around or getting your steps in good and proper.
