Chanel has brought winter magic to Covent Garden with a festive installation

Chanel Fragrance & Beauty has brought its Holiday campaign to life in an immersive installation besides its flagship boutique.

Looking for a little festive magic? Chanel Fragrance & Beauty has something worth braving the cold (and the crowds of last-minute shoppers) for. In the heart of Covent Garden, the fashion house has designed an immersive light installation to highlight the presence of the brand’s nearby store, which became its first flagship boutique ten years ago.

Named the ‘Winter Constellation’, it features all Chanel’s most emblematic motifs including the lion, camelia, comet and, of course, the iconic No5 bottle at its centre. The centrepiece is encased in a glowing helix, as though a visual representation of holiday spirit.

What is more, the installation isn’t only designed to be viewed, but walked through. Visitors can roam freely through Chanel’s take on a winter garden, which acts as a continuation of the maison’s comet-inspired Holiday Make-up collection campaign. Think: a star-light sky backdrop, twinkling trees and a bespoke Chanel gazebo.

Adding to the atmosphere, there promises to be live music every Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoon. The installation will remain until 28 December, so delve into Chanel’s winter magic while you can.
