Love a bit of PDA? Same. IDEA has released Hello, I Love You by legendary British photographer Derek Ridgers. A collection of candid intimacy before the iPhone era and the posing that came with it, the book features punks and metalheads kissing on ’70s streets, skinheads and mods embracing in ’80s clubs and ravers lost in ’90s festival romance. Originally released as three sold-out limited-edition zines, IDEA has compiled Ridgers’s archive into one beautiful volume, which you can shop here.

If you’re into UK rap with substance, West London’s Bawo has just dropped his bittersweet new single ‘I’m So’ via Say Nothing Records. The track perfectly captures what Bawo calls a “happy-sad” energy. Think: lyrics about heartbreak and worldly disappointment over an infectious beat. ‘I’m So’ is the next step in Bawo cementing himself as one of the UK’s most versatile storytellers, after appearances at Glastonbury and SXSW Sydney, as well as his acclaimed 2024 project It Means Hope Where I’m From. Need a little get-away to put you on until Christmas? You can never go wrong with Dublin. It’s close. It has the best Guiness. And, as the Irish say, it’s great craic. If you’re not about the oldy-worldy B&Bs, a great spot to stay is Zanzibar Locke. Based in a restored Georgian building, it’s bang opposite the Ha’penny Bridge (i.e. near the most famous pubs), but is equally a place you’ll be happy to hang out in. Made in that apart-hotel style, you’ve got plenty of space, an on-site bar-diner called BARAZA and even a place to whip up some scran yourself. Even better, it’s got thirty percent off for Black Friday right now. Book here.

We love a little store takeover, especially when there’s something shiny involved. Swarovski is moving into The Corner Shop at Selfridges to celebrate twenty years of partnership with Disney. Even before you head in, you’ll be hit with a dose of nostalgia thanks to the window displays, which are each an ode to iconic moments from Disney classics like Bambi, Cinderella and 101 Dalmatians, made from Swarovski crystals. Inside, you’ll find everything from figurines to jewellery to tap into your inner child, or pass the magic onto someone else in your life. Find out more here.

A fashion brand for your radar — High Fashion by JOL. The Lagos-based label was founded by entrepreneur and creative Rahman Jago to elevate street-inspired aesthetics. And you know that High Fashion by JOL is making moves because they’ve collaborated with Burna Boy and labels like 101 Avenue. Most recently, it’s dropped the Desciples collection. Each piece from it is described as a “star item” because they all stand out equally. How can you make leather and camo compete anyway? Check it out here.
