Who. What. Where? No. 133

Dreaming about next summer already? Picture this: Madrid, cold beer, brilliant acts. Yep, Mad Cool has just announced its 2026 line up for its special tenth anniversary edition, and special it is. Running from 8 to 11 July, the festival is bringing out Foo Fighters, Florence + The Machine, Lorde, Pulp, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Pixies, and over seventy other major acts to celebrate a decade of the festival. For the young’uns, there’ll also be Wolf Alice, The Last Dinner Party and (drum roll, please) CMAT! Tickets go on general sale 20 November, so if you fancy a long weekend in Madrid, grab a ticket here from next Thursday.

If you happen to have missed it, Yazmin Lacey dropped her sophomore album Teal Dreams a couple weeks ago and it’s been making waves in the neo-soul and jazz scenes ever since. The Nottingham-born singer-songwriter has crafted something really special here — a dreamy, introspective collection that blends her R&B vocals with live instrumentation and warm, analogue production. Lacey has, of course, been steadily building her reputation since 2017, but Teal Dreams feels like her proper arrival. Stream it here.

Over in F&B, Soho has a neighbourhood spot you should know about. It’s on Berwick Street and brings a new dose of classic British cuisine to the West End. Led by Executive Chef Tom Cenci, who’s championing a produce-led menu that celebrates British ingredients, it’s got that true salon feel. It’s the kind of place that works whether you’re after breakfast, a lazy lunch, or pre-theatre dinner. Exactly the type of place we all need as the nights start to draw in. Book a table here.

Speaking of winter nights, if you’re feeling Christmassy already, Sheep Inc. is hosting a festive wool wreath workshop at their Notting Hill studio on 7 December 7th. The session will have you crafting your own wreath using leftover wool from their clothing production. Sustainable and crafty. Plus, there’ll be mulled wine and mince pies involved, which is really all the convincing most of us need. Book a spot here.

Lastly, another event to chase those winter blues away. Livin’ Proof’s is having its birthday celebration at Colour Factory on Friday (14 November). It’ll bring together residents and special guests for a proper mix of new and classic hip-hop. It’s a one-off kind of thing, so you’ll probably hear people talking about it for a long time and get FOMO if you weren’t there. Grab a ticket here.
