Who. What. Where? No. 134

Want some new music to brighten up these suddenly arctic temperatures? The community-led Scandi station Sauna Radio has got you covered with the release of their new compilation, Various Artists Vol.1. Partnering with Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), the mixtape features eight artists who’ve helped shape the burgeoning station’s journey over the last six months. Genre-wise, it taps into Stockholm’s alternative electronic music scene. The compilation is available in both digital and on vinyl here, and all profits go straight to the PCRF. A new soundtrack to winter nights out and doing something for a good cause? You can’t go wrong. There’ll also be a fundraiser event to go with the launch, which will be streamed here if you don’t just happen to be in the Swedish capital that day.

If UK rap is more your thing, you might want to check out Lambeth-raised rapper Ceebo’s new mixtape, blair babies. The drop is both politically conscious — featuring songs such as ‘the gospel (as according to tony blair)’ — and super à-la-mode, with titles like ‘buzzball summer’ (hilarious). The project comprises sixteen songs made over the last couple of summers, and offers a commentary on both Gen Z’s frustration amid the increasingly tense political climate, as well as encapsulating youthful hedonism. Two discussion points we’re very fond of at HUNGER.

New in the world of books, NME has announced the second edition of their coffee table book, The Cover. The 2024-2025 edition celebrates the journey of fifty incredible artists, framed in a bold red hardback book. Featuring some of the HUNGER team’s favourite artists such as Lola Young, Kneecap and Chloe Qisha, you can rest assured I’ll be hoping to find this wrapped up under my tree this Christmas. WWW wouldn’t be complete without a seasonal recommendation, and this week we turn to boutique hotel The Londoner in Leicester Square, who’ve partnered with clothing designer SUSAN FANG for their Christmas decor this year. The iridescent Crystal Dreams Christmas Tree is adorned with floating flowers, domes and pastels. It’s totally on theme with the designer’s SS26 collection, which is a futuristic exploration of technology and nature. Sitting in the hotel lobby, guests are welcome to sit and observe the tree in all its glory until the new year.
