Who. What. Where? No. 132

Starting off with one of my personal favourite spots in the capital: The Ned. Every Monday night until 24 November, the hotel’s London branch is turning its Nickel Bar (that’s the one with the big podium in the middle) into a spot to watch emerging musicians. Dubbed New Music Mondays, the series is curated by former BBC Radio 1 DJ Jodie Bryant, in partnership with Yamaha, who’ll select three acts per week. There’ll be £11 classic cocktails and a specially curated food menu, too. Sounds alright, doesn’t it? Book here.
Over in F&B, LeBron James and Hennessy have collaborated for the second time. Fittingly for this time of year, the theme is celebration (most explicitly shown through LeBron’s signature ‘crowning’ gesture, as seen on the bottle’s label). To launch this iteration of the V.S.O.P Limited Edition series, Hennessy recreated LeBron’s iconic 2010 “The Decision” interview in a playful campaign called “The Second Decision”, which rolled out across both their platforms ahead of his twenty-third NBA season. And if you’re wondering how to drink it, they recommend whipping up a nice little Hennessy Sidecar (Hennessy, Cointreau, lemon juice, ice and some sugar for the rim). Lovely. Grab a bottle here before it sells out.

You know we love to share new music in WWW. This week, north London rapper ThaFirst has dropped his new track “LIKE ME”, just a month after releasing “LATELY”, which features his dad (he’s Frisco from Boy Better Know, not just a random guy). It seems like TheFirst is going to be a pretty big deal — he’s already performed on BBC 1Xtra and at Glastonbury, with co-signs from Wonderland and Clash. He’s also been making moves in fashion, walking multiple times for Skepta’s MAINS (including last London Fashion Week) and for H&M. So you should probably get to know him now. Listen to “LIKE ME” here.
Finally, not to steal the spotlight from Halloween, but we’re almost in November — which means Christmas shopping craziness is about to descend on the capital and its department stores. A shining beacon of light in that hellscape, however, might be FENDI’s newly expanded and renovated ready-to-wear boutique at Harrods. It’s stunning: Palladiana marble floors, ribbed façades and an especially made ceramic sculpture by Olivia Cognet. It’s the kind of space you’ll want to linger, even if you’re just getting away from the crowds. Find out more here, or pop by Harrods to see it for yourself.
