Who. What. Where? No. 125

Autumn may have rolled around, but that doesn’t mean we all need to start cocooning just yet. And good thing, too, because Manchester’s favourite clubbing institution, The Warehouse Project, is opening tomorrow for the new season (they like to keep everyone on their toes by only opening for part of the year — absence makes the heart grow fonder, after all). Running from 12 September to 22 November, the line-up is a good one, including shows with Confidence Man and Black Coffee, as well as two days’ worth of Halloween events. And, as they return, TWH has some new changes you should know about, including new toilets (can’t go wrong there), and a slightly more controversial no-phones policy. It’s for your own good — go forth, partygoers and live in the moment. Find out more on TWH’s website.
One for the fashionistas here. You’ve probably seen Madrid-based womenswear brand HAND OVER on your Instagram feeds (does that sparkly pink skirt ring a bell?) Well, the label is finally gracing London with its presence in the form of a pop-up from 12 to 14 September. If you strut on down to Bethnal Green this weekend, you can take a look at the new fall collection — but that’s not all. They have a fun little calendar of extra things to attend, from happy hour on Friday to toothgems on Saturday. Honestly, if you’re in town this weekend and don’t go, we’re just not the same kind of person — and that’s okay (or is it?). Get more info on HAND OVER’s Instagram page.
London Fashion Week is fast approaching, meaning you should probably be making your dinner reservations by now if you’re in that crowd. One place you might want to try out is The Twenty Two, a boujee Edwardian-Manor-style hotel in Mayfair “for the creative and the curious”. As well as its thirty-plus bedrooms and private members’ club — which you’ll probably want to find an in for, too — it houses The Restaurant. Cuisine-wise, you can expect Mediterranean dishes spanning French-style brasserie options to Italian-inspired pastas, but all made with seasonal British produce. It also has that sexy, upmarket French brasserie feel, thanks to the low lighting, chic panelling and sultry velvet bar stools. Speaking of which, there’s also a pretty crazy cocktail list — however, the pièce de résistance is the new Bloody Mary trolley where you can channel your inner Savoury Girl and create your own version of the drink using a smorgasbord of spirits and garnishes, including mignonette and bacon. Crazy. Book a table here.
Looking for something meaningful to do this Friday? From Ground Zero is cinema at its most essential — a Palestinian anthology documentary that puts cameras directly into the hands of twenty-two Gaza filmmakers to document daily life in a warzone. Executive produced by Michael Moore and produced by Gaza-born Rashid Masharawi, these short films capture the full spectrum of human experience under siege. Shot between bombing raids across nine months, the collection spans documentary to stop-motion animation, presenting stories that range from a comedian preparing for a gig at a bombed venue, to children processing trauma through art. You can find out more about Palestine’s official 2025 Academy Awards — including where to watch it across the UK and Ireland — on the film’s website.
Lastly, it wouldn’t be a WWW without a music rec, would it? This week, we propose you should take a listen to Cody Frost’s new song, ‘SOMETIMESICANTFEELATHING’, not just because they’re from Burnley and Northerners stick together, but because it taps into my inexplicable desire to listen to Paramore every time autumn comes around. As you might be able to guess, the song itself is about emotional numbness and self-medication, etc., so it’s a good one for the Sertraline baddies. And did you know Frost is also a tattoo artist? Pretty cool. The song drops Friday and you can pre-save it here.
