MVP of the week — Featuring Schott NYC® x The Bikeriders
First up it’s Schott NYC®’s collaboration with The Bikeriders, which takes the form of a exclusive, limited edition leather jacket. Inspired by the D-pocket number worn by Johnny (Tom Hardy), the leader of The Vandals motorcycle club, the collab is limited to just 100 pieces… So, get your hands on one quick. You know those single stitch vintage tees that sell for loads on eBay? This is like that, times ten. You’ll look pretty suave (and slightly dangerous) in it, too.
Thanks to Rishi Sunak, a fair of us have chucked our Adidas Sambas to the back our wardrobe. Luckily for you, there’s a new summer trainer in town. Introducing, the Converse Run Stars. Taking style cues from over twenty heritage Converse silhouettes, the Run Star is a streamlined little shoe that’s perfect for traipsing around Victoria park in. Available in five different colour ways and featuring nylon, suede, and leather (and those classic Converse logos), the Run Star can be shopped, here.
This week’s MVP features a little treat for your eardrums, too. King Krule is back, and he’s released a surprise EP that goes by the name of Shhhhhhh!. Comprised of four tracks that were previously sold in limited numbers in the run-up to Krule’s last album, Space Heavy, the EP is classically Archy Marshall — moody post-punk that’s about to become the soundtrack to your entire existence for the next three to five months. The singer-songwriter even dropped a video to go alongside the track ‘Time For Slurp’, so you can feast your eyes on that, too.
Everyone and their mum is doing pilates. Why not do it in style? We reckon that was thinking behind CELINE’s latest collection, which features clothes and sports accessories perfect for getting your sweat on. Though the collection isn’t available to shop (at selected CELINE stores and online) until October, we have a feeling it’s one to save up for — it could even be said it’s about to be the hottest ticket in the sports-luxe world. In the meantime, you can also drool over this campaign, shot by Hedi Slimane, CELINE’s creative director.
Would we be right in saying fragrances are having a bit of a thing right now? We think so. The latest one to add to your dressing table comes from iconic jewellers and watchmakers Cartier, who have just launched a collection called Les Bases à Parfumer. They’re not fragrances per se, but an oil and cream designed to be worn alongside Cartier’s core fragrance collection. Both delivered in classically Cartier gold casing, the oil is made of unscented peregrina oil, meaning it can be used on the hair, body and face. La Crème Pure is a hydrating body cream, also unscented, and also made of peregrina oil. If you do fancy smelling sumptuous as well as feeling silky smooth, the collection even includes concentrated perfume oil that can be mixed with or layered on top of the other products. You can shop the collection, here.
