Wimbledon might have had to apologise for its little mishap with its line-calling system last night, but there’s one thing the tennis tournament is doing right — and that’s attracting a crowd that makes the event more of a cool hangout than an uptight royal family fest. Fresh off the back of her Glastonbury set, Olivia Rodrigo and boyfriend Louis Partridge were spotted in the Royal Box, while it-girls like professional Insta baddie Morgan Riddle and actor Maude Apatow have drawn the focus off the rackets and onto their courtside style (the latter’s Ralph Lauren dress really was a sight to behold when she attended Day 7 yesterday).
More than the Royal Box, though, the cool-crowd hotspot is the Mountain of Youth VIP Suite this year. If you’re not familiar, that’s the VIP area hosted by Wimbledon’s official water sponsor, evian. In their seventeenth year of providing hydration for thirsty attendees, the suite is inspired by their Live Young philosophy, which is all about bringing a youthful and joyful approach to life. In practice, that looks like a very Instagram-worthy lounge, complete with table tennis sets, illustrators drawing guests, sweet treats and personalised water bottles (in a new recyclable design, made especially for Wimbledon 2025).
Jessica Alba and her daughter Honor Warren have been among the notable attendees at Mountain Of Youth so far, while model Mia Regan set the cool-girl style standard in her Thome Browne tennis skirt with a matching pinstripe blazer and tie — a perfect nod to Wimbledon’s traditional dress codes with a modern twist. Other guests have included TV personality and entrepreneur Molly-Mae Hague, actor Bel Priestley and rapper Michael Dapaah. It’s a cool and eclectic mix that suggests Wimbledon is moving with the times and becoming increasingly more about fashion than just tennis fanatics.
