The Goat — Featuring Levi’s x Oasis

Welcome to HUNGER’s The Goat, where we let you in on all the hottest drops and new releases. Less hype, more the things you actually need on your radar.

So, Patta and Nike have linked up once again for “The New Wave”. What is that, you ask? The latest iteration of their Wave series, a collaboration that’s all about the heritage Air Max 90 style and turning the classic trainers into something fresh. The shoes are part of a wider capsule collection, though — the drop features four premium AM90 colourways decked out with Patta’s signature mudguard, plus matching track-inspired apparel complete with some very cool co-branding. What makes the launch even more special is that it comes with its own literal soundtrack in the form of a campaign video by Belgian-Congolese artist Baloji, featuring rising music talents BNYX, BXKS, and Odumodublvck. Check out the collection here.

All everyone’s been talking about for the past week is the Oasis reunion (and fair enough). And turns out Levi’s is just as excited as everyone else — they’ve just dropped a second collection to celebrate the Gallagher brothers’ return to the stage. This Levi’s x Oasis collection features t-shirts and denim apparel — including, of course, a denim parka — that channel that ’90s Manchester style and are inspired by what the band wore back in the good ol’ days. There’s even pieces in Manchester City colours. You might all be interested to know that the campaign imagery was shot by Michael Spencer Jones, the same photographer who captured the iconic Oasis album covers throughout the ’90s. Shop it here.

New Balance are quite the technologists, aren’t they? In the ’90s, they introduced their ABZORB cushioning, and now the signature bit of technology has just had a modern glow-up. That comes in the form of the ABZORB 2000, which previewed at Milan Design Week in April. These trainers have a special sole made with 3D design tools that get into the nitty-gritty of what your feet actually need — including the ABZORB SBS pods, which give the trainers that cool Y2K look just as much as extra support. Oh, and they’re unisex. Nab a pair here.

Something else that’s unisex is the new collaboration between Swedish eyewear brand Chimi and Narcyss, the Stockholm-based skincare brand. Together they’ve made Full Facial Protection, which is an SPF 50+ sunscreen designed for the average, cool urban dweller to pop on at the end of their skincare routine. And skincare is the essential word here. Lots of SPFs break you out, but this one won’t. Why? Because it contains Niacinamide, which hydrates your skin and protects the natural barrier (very important if you’re making the most of the summer sun). It also doesn’t give you that annoying white-washed effect — it’s lightweight and simply melts into the skin. You won’t even know you’re wearing it. Grab one here.
