The Goat — Featuring Nude Project

You can never have too many pairs of sunglasses — especially since they and umbrellas are somehow the easiest items to lose. So, if you’re in the market (or not), French glasses brand Jimmy Fairly has brought out its latest collection. It’s called Club Soleil and, when you see the shades, you’ll see why. They have a vintage feel that spans fashion references from all across the latter half of the twentieth century, paired with modern details. Think: colourful lenses and bold frames spanning ’70s-style mask frames to minimal ’90s butterfly frames. It’s playful, it’s retro and it’s super fun. But, in true Fairly style, everything is limited edition, so you’re going to need to nab a pair sooner than later. Find the collection here.

One for the trainer buffs here — Louis Vuitton is finally about to launch its LV Buttersoft sneaker, which the fashion house first unveiled back in January at their FW25 menswear show. You may have also peeped the shoe in our F**k it issue. But anyway, these shoes from men’s creative director Pharrell Williams take influences from both dandyism and streetwear. More specifically, they’re an ode to the leather sneakers that sneaked away from sportswear into the everyday wardrobe back in the ’60s, as well as the styles popularised by the hip-hop community in the 2000s (but with a formal twist, hence the dandyism). If you’re wondering, the LV Buttersoft takes its name from the buttery leather used to make them. But even better than its soft texture, the shoe comes in twenty-four variations, so you can be as picky as you like. Pre-order here, or buy in store from 10 July.

If you were at Glasto last week, all you’re going to want to do this weekend is unwind. And everyone knows that scent is one of the best ways to channel your inner zen. That’s where Pigmentarium comes in. What is it, you ask? Only the creators loveliest incense ever to chill out with. More specifically, Pigmentarium is an artisanal (fancy) Czech perfume house, which has just launched in the UK. Their best-selling scent is called Moroccan Mint, which is both menthol-like and herbaceous and honestly makes you feel like you’re relaxing in some sort of hammam. The idea behind this scent specifically is to help you channel stillness and clarity, so it’s perfect for a reset weekend. And if you don’t already have an incense altar, Pigmentarium sells a stunning porcelain one designed by renowned Czech porcelain artist Daniel Piršč, which looks as much like an art piece as something to pop your incense stick into. Shop Moroccan Mint here and the altar here.

Up for unplugging this summer? The Barcelona-based fashion brand, Nude Project, has released a deliciously summery collection that channels just this. It’s named the Art of Boredom and is actually inspired by the twelve-hour blackout in Spain that happened this April. Essentially, the collection taps into the stripped-back fun we can have without being glued to our phones and laptops all day. And interestingly, the campaign is inspired by what the Nude Project team actually did during those blackout hours — playing cards and volleyball, and listening to the radio. In turn, that temporary paired-back approach to life is reflected in the likes of airy dresses, linen matching sets and bermuda shorts, all reflective of a slower pace of life. Of course, though, there’s nothing boring about the Art of Boredom. The silhouettes, prints and accessories put the ‘art’ into the collection’s name, and embody the creative confidence you can channel when you simply let your brain and body breathe for a bit. Shop the men’s collection here and women’s here.

Another one for the trainer fanatics — don’t say we don’t do anything for you. Nike has announced a new silhouette called the Ava Rover. Think of it as the day-to-day shoe of an athlete. It’s designed for being on your feet all day (especially if you live in the city) and is made with technology that can let runners rest easy at night, knowing their day shoes aren’t messing up their arches or something equally as horrifying. Foam cushioning, lightweight and breathable with light and waterproof rubber soles. You can’t really ask for more than that, can you? As is Nike’s custom, though, it’s as much of a fashion moment as a sports one. The Ava Rover first surfaced as part of a collaboration with Korean fashion designer Hyein Seo, who brought her dystopian design influence to an exclusive, co-branded black version of the shoe. If you prefer the simpler approach, though, you can grab a pair in Fossil Clay, Black Muslin (and more) from July 25 at nike.com. Set your alarms.
