The Goat — Featuring New Era

Welcome to HUNGER’s The Goat, where we let you in on all the hottest drops and new releases. Less hype, more the things you actually need on your radar.

First up, the world’s number one headwear brand New Era has dropped their MLB collection, based on the Subway Series rivalry (which, in UK language, is the rivalry between the New York Yankees and the New York Mets baseball teams). As such, the capsule has got a sportswear-streetwear fusion feel to it and spans everything from varsity jackets — New Era does, of course, make way more than headwear — to co-ords, collarless shirts and tailored trousers. And obviously, there are the expected fitted caps and snapbacks that come as part of the drop. If you have no affiliation with either team, lots of the pieces have a more subtle link to baseball culture with fun prints and the like. Alternatively, just pick a side and gain a new hyperfixation. Maybe move to New York. Buy a beer helmet. Snog a random on a kiss cam.

How about this heatwave we’ve been having then? Timed perfectly for the scorching temps, Swedish essentials brand CDLP has released some new resortwear. In the capsule collection, you’ve got some chill pool shirts, tees, shorts, trousers and lightweight shirt jackets — all of which have a nice relaxed look, while also looking effortlessly put-together. But what makes this resortwear top-notch is that it’s literally designed to regulate your temperature — they’re made from wood-based materials that are extremely breathable (and sustainable). Perfect for feeling cool in more ways than one.

Nowadays, you probably see Dickies on more east Londoners than tradies, and that’s why the workwear brand has just dropped their 247 campaign. It’s all about how people live and work in their gear. At the heart of it, is the 247 Work Pant, a lighter take on heritage styles like the 874 Work Pant and Double Knee (think: softer fabric and an added phone pocket since these trousers are very much fashion meets function). Also for the campaign, Dickies has drafted in Ezra Collective and Diego Naska to share their daily routines and show just how versatile the 247 Work Pants are — but you could have guessed that from the name.

Last up, we’ve got some summer garms from sustainable clothing brand Baserange. First off, the collection includes some adorable bikinis and swimming costumes complete with heart-shaped cut-outs, a sweet little motif that features throughout the collection on everything from cute tees to underwear sets. There’s also a couple of airy shirt and trouser sets (made with recycled materials), as well as lightweight long-sleeve shirts, perfect for breezier days. Last but not least, the collection includes sustainable beach towels that, unlike most, aren’t super ugly so won’t ruin your bikini selfies. Can’t let a gaudy towel ruin our thirst traps, can we?
