The best looks from Paris Fashion Week Men’s FW 26/27

PFW Men’s saw five days of boundary pushing and unbridled creativity.

As Paris Fashion Week Men’s drew to a close after five days of shows, the celebration of the male form was only just beginning. The fashion capital rarely disappoints when it comes to creativity and this season was no exception. While designers paid homage to the foundations of tailoring, few shied away from pushing boundaries. Take Feng Chen Wang, whose 37-look collection reworked structured tailoring by juxtaposing architectural silhouettes with relaxed materials and contrasting textures.

While at Louis Vuitton, men’s creative director Pharrell Williams rewrote the rules of luxury. Classic menswear tropes were sidelined in favour of technical innovation, with hybrid designs taking centre stage. Cue the reversible water-repellent nylon blousons (a modern riff on traditional suiting) and aluminium-draped shirts. Accessories followed suit, with logo-studded caps and reimagined supple bags made from silk and recycled nylon, replacing the house’s signature canvas.

Elsewhere, collections nodded to the past. At Jacquemus, inspiration came from Paloma Picasso, jewellery designer and daughter of Pablo Picasso. Whimsical tuxedos emerged in the form of asymmetric jackets and tailored shorts, playfully adorned with multi-coloured dots.

Across the collective, menswear felt bolder than ever: clashing patterns, punchy colourblocking and relaxed silhouettes signalled a confident shift in attitude. Fashion, after all, has always had the power to rewrite history.
