The Goat — Featuring Les Benjamins FW24

Welcome to HUNGER’s newly rebranded The Goat, where we let you in on all the hottest drops and new releases. Less hype, more the things you actually need on your radar.

First up, it’s over to Les Benjamins, who have unveiled a FW24 collection that rewrites the rules of Turkish punk. Helmed by creative director Bünyamin Aydin – and joined by a campaign that was shot, very aptly, over in Istanbul – Les Benjamins’ latest offering pays tribute to ’70s punk icon Tünay Akdeniz while pushing gender boundaries into fresh territory. Fusing traditional Turkish patterns with punk’s raw energy, standout pieces from the collection take the form of clever trompe l’oeil outerwear and printed denim that mimics leather. Vivid pinks and reds clash with deep purples and burgundies, while studs and safety pins meet Turkish calligraphy and carpet motifs. Best of all, Les Benjamins is pushing things very firmly into 2024 with pleated skirts designed for all genders. Shop the collab here

Could it be said that things are a little shoe-heavy on this week’s The Goat? We don’t think so. First things first, it’s over to New Balance, who’ve just unleashed their most versatile running shoe yet: presenting, The Fresh Foam 1080v14. Finding yourself a pair of shoes for trampling around the park is no easy feat, but New Balance’s latest silhouette aims to remedy that by creating a shoe that meets the unique needs of every runner. The Fresh Foam X 1080v14 offers their most cushioned experience (goodbye, Compeed), as well as providing increased stability and support. There’s even enhanced breathability for improved performance. Have a gander here. We needn’t even say that, of course, there’s a broad array of colour ways to choose from.

Third on the agenda this week, we’ve got a shoe for all you gorpcore lovers. For the most dedicated fans of outerwear, this one might even be a trip down memory lane. Can you guess where we’re going with this? Probably not, so we’ll just tell you: Salomon is reviving their Snowclog silhouette. Salomon’s been digging through the archives, and they’ve unearthed a cold-weather gem. Debuting at Salomon’s first-ever New York City pop-up, this easy-on, easy-off wonder comes in six vibrant colorways. The real kicker? An InfiniFOAM midsole that’s fully recyclable and destined for a second life in other Salomon gear. They’ve also got a weather-resistant upper, a handy side zip and a QR code on the insole for the curious among us — you can give that a scan for the full recycling lowdown. Fancy a pair? They’re up for grabs on Salomon’s website and in all their shops.

Last but certainly not least, it’s over to UGG who are back with another GALLERY DEPT. collab. Back in February, their collab was all jewel-encrusted grandeur — this time, they’re putting Josué Thomas’ upcycling ethos front and centre, reimagining four classic UGG silhouettes with eco-friendly materials. If HUNGER had to choose a standout piece, it would definitely be the stitched cowboy boot. Featuring all-around embroidery and a durable lug outsole, it’s crafted from waterproof leather and regenerative materials. Another highlight is a one-of-a-kind denim boot (made entirely from recycled denim, obviously), and rounding out the collection is two canvas styles. While you can’t get your paws on this collab just yet, we reckon it’s one to mark in your calendars — the four styles are set to drop at the end of next week, and you can sign up to be reminded of that via email here. Giddy up, we guess?
