Who. What. Where? No. 98

Welcome to HUNGER’s Who. What. Where? Your one stop shop for all the latest and greatest upcoming cultural must-knows and tip-offs.

Kicking things off this week, we’ve got some music for you — Welsh artist and producer Douvelle19, perhaps best known for his dance tracks “Skin to Skin” and “Swimming”, is dropping his much-anticipated single “Find A Way” on Friday. The third single from his upcoming EP, Love Me Not – slated for March – it’s the perfect upbeat tune to get us to the finish line of this seemingly endless January. On top of that, Douvelle19 is performing at Manchester’s Hidden Nightclub on 31 Jan for a cheeky night of garage if you fancy it — grab a ticket here.

Next up, we have a special collaboration between the Hoxton hotel group, Hackney-born international music platform NTS Radio and Bacardí Rum. Together, they’re putting on eight parties across the hotel’s Europe-based locations (Paris, Barcelona, Vienna, Rome, Berlin, Amsterdam Brussels and London, to be precise) where they’ll blend DJ sets and delish Bacardí-based cocktails. Each cocktail also comes with a bespoke playlist from NTS, accessible via a QR code, for immaculate vibes. The best part, though, is that the Hoxton is going to gift one party-goer a room for the night at each event, so the lucky winner can crawl into bed like a drunken mess nice and easily. Ideal. Get your ticket here.

From Bacardí to whisky — Glenfiddich (the award-hogging single malt Scotch whisky company) has partnered with leading art platform Rise Art, so you can now rent artworks that pair with your whisky purchase. Pretty boujee, right? They’re calling it “piece and pour” (nice), and the idea is to harmonise taste and visuals. The art itself spans well-loved contemporary artists like Damien Hirst to rising stars like Lucy Cade. At the base tier for the service – which’ll cost you £180 – Glenfiddich customers are entitled to a one-month rental from an emerging artist. If that floats your boat, you can check it out here.

Last up, we have an exciting announcement from the renowned UK promoter, Labyrinth, who’s just announced the first headliner for its new open-air live music series, Labyrinth on the Thames. The headliner in question, Black Coffee, is a Grammy-winning South African DJ and producer, known for hits like “Drive” and “The Rapture Pt.III”, and he’ll be the first ever DJ to headline the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, where the six-day event will take place. It’s happening in August, so we know we’re a little early for this one, but it’s just been announced, and we wanted to make sure you’re ready when tickets go on pre-sale next Thursday — sign up here.
