Who. What. Where? No. 95

Welcome to HUNGER’s Who. What. Where? Your one stop shop for all the latest and greatest upcoming cultural must-knows and tip-offs.

Starting things off a musical note this week, there’s a new artist on the scene that we simply must tell you about. I Am Roze recently made their A COLORS SHOW debut (if you live under a rock, that’s the Berlin-based music show that literally everyone from Jorja Smith to Tom Misch has been on) with their song ‘Dollar’, and it’s bloody fantastic. Rumour has it that I Am Roze is from the same scene as Billie Eilish — but they’re getting plenty of clout on their own, actually. Since Fred Again sampled one of I Am Roze’s Insta clips in two of his tracks, they’ve performed on Later with Jools Holland and sung at the Royal Albert Hall. They’ve also racked up 830,000 followers on TikTok – because, let’s not lie, that’s all anyone cares about – and their music features in Apple TV’s Trying (which you should also probably watch if you haven’t already). Anyway, give their A COLORS SHOW trailer a watch here. We’re warning you, though — it might bring a little tear to your eye.

Next up, we have a tasty little collab between Billionaire Boys Club EU and British rap legend Giggs. Now, admittedly, we usually save the hot drops for ‘The Goat’, but this literally launched yesterday and involves an arguable pillar of our nation’s music scene. The collection itself is part of the fashion label’s ‘classics’ range and includes zip-up sweatshirts, knitted crewnecks, polos and the likes — you know the drill. The shoot (and video) that comes with the launch is pretty sick, too. It sort of gives The Godfather vibes — if the film was about a UK rapper, rather than a mafioso. It also doesn’t have any horse’s heads in it, thank God. Check the collection out here.

Onto something a bit different — padel. We know what you’re thinking and, yes, we too are admittedly more into culture than sports. But what about when the two come together? Well, none other than Stormzy is endorsing the hell out of the tennis-adjecent activity. To be fair, padel is widely-accepted as the world’s fastest-growing sport and that’s probably why the rapper has become the Padel Social Club’s (PSC) latest investor — as well as the fact that he’s also apparently super into it. PSC also place a heavy emphasis on their sense of community (something Stormzy is famously into) and, thanks to the investment, they’re launching five new courts at The O2 arena, as well as six in Wandsworth by spring and summer 2025 respectively. If you’re chomping at the bit for a bit of padel now, though, you can check out the club’s Earl’s Court venue in the meantime via this link.

Last up, we’ve got another fashion heads-up for you. Last weekend, beauty mogul Kylie Jenner was spotted wearing Kurt Geiger’s Kensington bag, shortly after her three besties – Jordyn Woods, Justine Skye and Stassie – were also seen sporting a bit of KG. Correct us if we’re wrong, but that probably means the London-based brand is about to have another moment. After all, everyone from Olivia Rodrigo to J Lo has been feeling them recently — plus the world’s hottest woman (Emily Ratajkowski, duh) is the face of the brand right now. If you want to emulate Jenner’s decidedly-festive style, though, you can find the ‘Medium Crystal Kensington Bag’ here.
