Who. What. Where? No. 126

Are you a Lady Gaga fan? Are you a fashion fan? The answer to both of those questions is probably yes, so you’re going to love this. Ticket seller viagogo and fashion rental company By Rotation have teamed up to launch the world’s first concept store dedicated to getting you gig-ready without decimating your bank account, or contributing to fast fashion chaos. Running from 26 to 27 September at The House of ByRo Store in Mayfair, you can browse celebrity-stylist-curated pieces that channel every Gaga era. And if you’re wondering why the pop-up is Gaga specific, it’s because she’s playing not one but four shows in London at the end of the month slash the start of October. So if you’re attending the Mayhem Tour, get yourself down to Mayfair stat, or check out the collection on the By Rotation site — and don’t forget the fifteen-percent discount code, ‘VIAGOGO’.

Next up, some art. Polish artist Alicja Biała is transforming London’s Berntson Bhattacharjee Gallery into a botanical laboratory for her latest solo exhibition. Raw Earth, Rare Earth isn’t your average expo — it’s a full sensory immersion where Biała plays chemist, sculptor and environmentalist in one. It reads a bit like Anselm Kiefer meets David Attenborough, with Biała etching delicate botanical motifs into mirrored brass and casting real flora in bronze — part love letter to the natural world, part urgent wake-up call about the environment. Catch the show at 45 Berners Street, London from 18 September until 25 October. Find out more here.

Jacob Collier is a bit of an experimental music genius — he spent seven years working on his mind-bending, maximalist Djesse series (that’s his four-albums featuring hundreds of collaborations, if you aren’t aware). But now, the seven-time GRAMMY winner is stripping things back with The Light For Days. The London-born artist’s new album drops on 10 October and features nothing but him, his guitars and some intimate musical moments. Recorded in just four days in his childhood music room, it includes six originals plus covers of legends like James Taylor and The Beatles, all captured in what Collier calls “warm, scrappy, imperfect” form. Who doesn’t love a bit of scrappiness? Pre-save The Light For Days here.
We’re still a while away from December (thank God), but it’s been announced that Homobloc is back for its sixth edition on 6 December at Depot Mayfield in Manchester, and this year’s line-up is absolutely stacked. We’re talking Sugababes fresh off their European tour, house legends Honey Dijon and The Blessed Madonna, plus a rare DJ set from Gossip’s Beth Ditto (read her Issue 34 cover story here, *plug, plug*). But obviously it’s not just about headliners, it’s about the community — collectives like Pxssy Palace (who happen to be celebrating their tenth anniversary), Butch Revival and House of Spice will be bringing the vibe, too. As well as being fun, it’s all for a good cause. Since 2021, Homobloc has raised over £137k for LGBTQ+ charities. Impressive. Pre-sale tickets launched today, so get yours here.

Some more music for you… It’s been out for a few weeks (forgive us), but multi-platinum UK producer William Graydon, who you might know under his moniker 220 KID, has signed a worldwide deal with Kygo’s Palm Tree Records and dropped his latest single, ‘Sleep Alone’, featuring Grammy-nominated songwriter Justin Jesso. It’s a bit of a shift from his usual club-centric dance productions, featuring Bieber-adjacent vocals mixed with a hard beat. With over a billion streams under his belt and previous hits like ‘Don’t Need Love’ (which hit number nine on the UK charts and earned a Brit nomination), we’re intrigued to see what this Palm Tree partnership could bring. Listen here.
Lastly, one for the scent enthusiasts. Dior is transforming Somerset House into ‘Fort Sauvage’, a full Wild West set-up celebrating ten years of their bestselling Sauvage fragrance. Running from 25 to 28 September, it’s got it all going on: a fragrance bar, a cinema showing the latest Sauvage film and a barber shop with complimentary grooming sessions. The whole thing is styled like a ’60s Western saloon, complete with slot machines where you can win exclusive Dior keepsakes. The commitment to the cowboy-bit is impressive. Register at Dior.com.
