Welcome to HUNGER’s Who. What. Where? Your one stop shop for all the latest and greatest upcoming cultural must-knows and tip-offs.

In the words of Barry B. Benson, ya like jazz? If the answer is yes, you’re in luck because Love Supreme is just around the corner (from 4 to 6 July, to be precise). If you aren’t aware, the East-Sussex-based shindig is actually the biggest outdoor jazz festival in Europe. And that’s why they have none other than seven-time-Grammy-winning music whizz Jacob Collier headlining (hopefully wearing the yellow Crocs and matching scarf combo he was wearing when I met him randomly in Vancouver). Besides Collier, there’s a whole host of jazz royalty on the roster — Maxwell is making his first UK appearance in nine years, Smokey Robinson is playing on British soil for the first time in over fifteen, and The Roots are coming all the way from Philly to grace attendees with their hip-hop-meets-jazz mash-ups. Aside from the music, there’s going to be everything from yoga to late-night DJ sets in the woods, meaning you can opt for a wholesome experience or go completely feral. It’s the best of both worlds. You know we love spotlighting some new music, and this week we’re putting Yazmin Lacey’s comeback single “Ain’t I Good For You” on your radar. Think: delicious vocals paired with production from Eg White (Adele) and Jonny Lattimer (Olivia Dean and Janelle Monáe). Lyric-wise, the song symbolises a new era of fun for the artist, so listen out for some cheeky little lines peppered throughout. Plus, what makes this release even more special is the collaborative efforts on the project. The not/nowhere cooperative worked on the visuals — they’re a BIPOC-owned co-op that supports analogue film practices — and the 2b or Not 2b Collective (which creates space for young artists of colour) whipped up the cherry-themed artwork. “Ain’t I Good For You” may be the perfect song for when you’re feeling yourself, and you can have a listen here.

If you haven’t heard of Climax Books, it’s arguably the coolest store in London to fulfil all your esoteric book, magazine and poster needs (you’ve probably seen their ‘Pissing Woman’ poster on your Instagram feed — or maybe that’s just my algorithm…). The latest addition to their stock? The fourth edition of revived queer magazine Der Eigene. We say revived because it was the modern world’s first official gay press publication, launched in 1896, just two years before RIMOWA (who’ve backed Der Eigene since 2022) launched their first suitcases. This latest issue, then, is a collaboration with photographer Collier Schorr, who’s captured fifteen profiles from New York’s queer scene in his classic B&W style, each paired with intimate Q&As to give a real insight into the Big Apple’s current LGBT+ scene. Grabbing a copy is the least you can do this Pride month, really, so get yourself down to Climax Books.

Finishing up with some fashion (and running, because everyone seems to love it so bloody much these days). It’s Paris Fashion Week and one of our fave brands, Saucony, has a fun little line-up of events carrying through to the end of the weekend. They’ve posted up at 141 Rue du Temple to create what they’re calling their Sync Space, where they’re hosting everything from matcha residencies with Maison Matcha, accessory-customisation workshops, 3D photo booth installations and — since they are, of course, a running brand — some special group runs. And while you’re there you can check out their AW25 collection. Check it out if you’re in Paris this week, and find more info here.
