Check out High Society x Marvin’s holiday celebration

The label and global culture platform toasted Marvin Issue 18 with hip-hop artist IDK and Audio-Technica.

On 12 December, High Society and Marvin magazine brought together fashion, music and culture for a carefully curated holiday event. At the fashion brand’s Los Angeles space, it was all about the three S’s: sound, sake and style. The event marked the release of Marvin’s eighteenth issue, featuring hip-hop artist IDK as both cover star and co-editor. And, fitting for this IDK special, the event was also kitted out with Audio-Technica’s sleek new Hotaru turntable.

The night opened with a VIP sake tasting courtesy of SIPT Global — a sophisticated drink selection, setting the tone for what was about to come. Guests then moved deeper into the space, where Common Wave Hi-Fi, the downtown LA audio showroom that’s become a haven for vinyl collectors, had transformed a corner into an intimate listening room. Afterwards, IDK took the floor for a live performance, before treating attendees to an exclusive first spin of his unreleased vinyl record, Even the Devil Smiles

Elsewhere, sushi from Red Fish and tacos from Dos Amantes Grill made the rounds, while a range of libations flowed from Olga Vodka, Heaven Sake and IRIS Spirits. With everyone fed and watered, DJ sets from ACYDE, KITTY CA$H and Yonas Michael kept the energy moving through the night. Finally, guests were gifted limited-edition, Hotaru-inspired sake cups, handcrafted by ceramic artist Shoshi Watanabe to take the party home with them.

The guest list also included a who’s who of music and culture: Denzel Curry, Zane Lowe, Angela Manuel Davis, Eyedress, Josh Madden, Samara Cyn, TKAY and Bailey Spinn among them. Clearly, this wasn’t just a holiday event — it was a reminder that the best gatherings happen when fashion, music, and culture play in harmony.
