Aramis Knight says trying hard is cool

The 25-year old actor has already had quite a few impressive roles, but as he's keen to point out, those opportunities didn't just happen by chance

You might recognise Aramis Knight, 25, from his appearance in Disney+’s miniseries Ms. Marvel and Into The Badlands. And his upcoming appearance in Karate Kid: Legends out May, opposite Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio, shows he’s still landing an impressive range of roles. He’s keen to point out, though, that that hasn’t happened by chance. “I’d like to encourage young people to be themselves and not worry about the ‘cringe’ factor of trying your hardest,” he says. “Trying hard is cool.”

It’s not just acting where Knight exerts himself, though – his hobbies span from fishing to basketball, and it’s these out-of-office activities that the LA-born actor attributes to keeping his mind and body “sharp”. “All of those little things that may seem pointless are actually huge tools,” he affirms.
