Enter into the wild world of the Brits’ after-parties

With parties hosted by major record labels like Universal and Sony, London’s buzziest venues opened their doors for the celebs celebrating victories and nominations for the Brits 2023. Here, we take a look at the best moments from the afterparties, as sea legs weren’t the only thing tippling that night…
1. Maya Jama’s boat bash
Love Island presenter Maya Jama took no time between her flights to South Africa, as she dropped everyone a swift reminder that her sea-bound celebration was nigh. Celebs were ahoy as the likes of Jesse Lingard, AJ Odudu, Tiffany Calver, and Mira May partied hard on the waters. A sparkling silver thigh-split dress was Maya Jama’s outfit of choice, as she elegantly clocked off her job presenting the ITV Red Carpet Show in favour of a chilled soiree on the River Thames in partnership with Coca-Cola. Jama made the most of her well-deserved time off, by throwing some serious moves into the early hours of Sunday morning and sowed off her VIP attendees on social media in a reel of giggly Insta stories.
2. No thoughts, just Lewis Capaldi
Lewis Capaldi (known as Sam Capaldi to many that night), was nothing short of class as he stepped out to Universal’s after-party and debuted his rumoured new girlfriend. Whilst many teased the Scottish singer about his red carpet rolling around after a few too many, the star really decided to live his best life at the awards, even if he went home empty-handed. After being nominated for Song of the Year for his tune ‘Forget Me’, he graciously accepted defeat to Harry Styles’ ‘As It Was’ – with a smashing kiss from the quadruple Brits winner. Sunday morning for Capaldi can’t have been that bad after that smooch, surely?
3. Leopard print *does* impress us much
Shania Twain wowed in leopard print at the Universal afterparty and proved the funky pattern to never go out of style. As the country singer hits the top of the UK charts with her new album Queen of Me, she posed with Sophie Ellis-Bextor in a hot leopard print number, ringing a continued homage to her 1998 music video for ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’.
4. Murder on the Dancefloor
After being pictured in a sparkling emerald gown next to Shania Twain, Ellis-Bextor performed her fabulously camp ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ for the Universal party audience. On the throwback vibe, the ‘01 party classic was the perfect tune for the star-studded celebration, and Ellis-Bextor slayed the dancefloor as per usual.
5. The public’s pop princess, Charli XCX
Show-stopping pop singer Charli XCX reminded us all that despite Harry Styles racking up multiple Brits, she will always be the real winner. Heading to the Warner afterparty, she opted for a simple monochrome white tee that read ‘REAL WINNER’ across the chest. She lost to Styles in the pop/R&B category and poked fun by pairing her ironic tee with a black leather mini skirt, matching boots, and a pair of wraparound sunnies. We salute you, the real princess of pop.
6. Harry Styles headed to Sony
Stylers were in full celeb stalker mode for Harry Styles at the Brits, especially after his ultimate celebrations for his four wins in Album of the Year, Best Artist, Best Pop Act, and Song of the Year. Many were chuffed to see their favourite singer shout out 1D in his acceptance speech, as his tipsy festivities continued into the night with the Sony afterparty.
