Peggy Gou is taking over Pacha ICONS in Dubai

The Berlin-based DJ and producer is going to make Dubai dance at Playa Pacha.

Over the past few years, Dubai has become something of an unexpected hub for nightlife. This month alone, model and fragrance brand founder Bella Hadid held her Orebella launch event in the city, Calvin Harris threw a party for thousands of EDM enthusiasts and YUNGBLUD headlined a festival featuring over a hundred international artists. Another cornerstone of Dubai’s nightlife scene is, of course, Playa Pacha, the UAE location of Pacha Ibiza.

For anyone somehow unfamiliar with the cherry-emblazoned nightlife hub, Pacha Ibiza was originally founded on the Spanish island in 1973. Its new Dubai venue, which opened last year at FIVE LUXE JBR, channels the same Mediterranean party spirit that’s carried techno and house heads through the past half century. That manifests in a beach club by day and parties DJ’d by some of the world’s biggest acts by night. And for the most elite performers, there’s the aptly-named Pacha ICONS. Black Coffee, Mochakk, Rampa and CamelPhat have previously performed in the series, to give only a small flavour of the club’s calibre.

Having re-opened for the season this October, Playa Pacha Dubai has already seen a characteristically star-studded line-up, including British legend Carl Cox and BLOND:ISH, who became Pacha Ibiza’s first female headline resident this summer. And the same can be expected in the new year. Opening for its first season of 2026 between January and April, line-up highlights include Solomun (31 January), Sonny Fodera (21 March) and Mau P with Seth Troxler (10 April).

The cherry on top for the current season at Playa Pacha Dubai, however, has to be Peggy Gou. Even for those outside of the disco bubble, the South Korean-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer has become a mainstay in pop culture. Following the release of her breakout single ‘(It Goes Like) Nanana’ in 2023, Gou has sold out shows at Coachella, Tomorrowland and Glastonbury. But she’s equally as recognisable outside the music world. She’s collaborated with American clothing brand Alpha Industries on limited-edition apparel, worked with brands spanning Dolce & Gabbana to Bottega Veneta, and partnered with luxury tequila brand Don Julio. And on Saturday 6 December, Gou is bringing her ultimate party-girl energy to Pacha ICONS, where she’ll blend house, techno and disco to truly make Dubai dance.
