Who. What. Where? No. 104

Welcome to HUNGER’s Who. What. Where? Your one stop shop for all the latest and greatest upcoming cultural must-knows and tip-offs.

First up, we have a brand new (like, today new) collection from Madrid-based menswear label Late Checkout. Their SS25 campaign is called Hotel Games and it’s inspired by the ways grand hotel staff might find ways to pass the time during off-season — jenga, tug of war, you name it. It’s very Wes Anderson if you ask us. With that in mind, the collection includes a rather refined version of workwear silhouettes in fun, summery colours. Some of the pieces even include novelty hotel-themed graphics. It’s elegant but also a bit mischievous, and we love it. Take a peak here.

Next, we have some more luxury for you. Italian footwear brand Paris Texas has a new pop-up at none other than Harrods (ooer). If you’re not familiar with the brand, they’re known for blending Parisian-chic with Texan influences (read: sexy but comfy), and gained somewhat of an it-girl following from their Stiletto Boots. They’ve been seen on Kylie Jenner, Hailey Bieber and Emily Ratajkowski to name just a few choice celebs. This pop-up, though, is all about the SS25 collection, which we’d describe as a pretty perfect blend of cool and timeless. Our favourite has to be the Lidia style, which has been zhuzhed up for the new season. If you fancy a browse, the pop-up runs until 30 March in the Fifth Floor Shoe Haven.

Another pop-up we wanted to put on your radar is Lucy & Yak’s (Im)Perfect Yaks sale. Thanks to popular demand, the Yorkshire-born brand is back in London after their first foray went down a storm. Their clothes are adorable to be fair. At the sale, you can buy items with minor issues or defects for a discounted price. It’s a win-win really — nab yourself a bargain and do something positive for the planet by keeping the clothes in circulation. It’s taking place at Copeland Park in Peckham from 6 March to Sunday 9 March, so get yourself down there this weekend. Find more info here.

Next, we’ve got something for the Northerners. One of Manchester’s favourite music venues, Hidden, has just had a major re-vamp to celebrate its ten-year anniversary — it’s got new sound and lighting systems, a separate bar room (faster drinks) and a new chill-out area. It’s even got refurbished loos, which is always a nice touch. With its new look, Hidden is reopening this weekend with parties on Friday and Saturday night. Headliners include Gilles Peterson and DJ EZ, if you’re wondering. Grab yourself a ticket for 7 March here, or 8 March here.

Elsewhere in music, “Tears” singer Paige Cavell has dropped a new single. It’s the first song the Londoner has brought out since signing with Island/EMI and it definitely fits the dance-pop direction the artist is heading in. The song is called “Owe It All To You” (it’s about all the “special people” in Cavell’s life) and could probably best be described as a love anthem. She also has Goddard on the track, who’s added some dance and jungle rhythms to make it a bit of a party bop. Listen here.
