The Goat — Featuring The North Face x Loyle Carner

Welcome to HUNGER’s The Goat, where we let you in on all the hottest drops and new releases. Less hype, more the things you actually need on your radar.

The first 45 years of January are always the hardest, but thankfully it’s finally payday, and you already know we’ve got the latest and greatest locked and loaded for your shopping cart. First up, we’re starting with hip-hop inspired brand Patta, who’ve spotlighted Nigerian artist Zaylevelten performing ‘Guide Pass’ for their SS26 campaign. This collection sees them connect sport and music; the trophy husband of which being the football and American football jerseys in a gorgeous candy-cotton pink and ocean blue. They’ve also reinvented their classic varsity jackets in leather, like throwing Grease at Gen Z and telling it to get with the programme. Through the intersection of sport, music and community, Patta’s SS26 collection reminds us of the importance of wearing your heart on your sleeve, a pine-green flag in our books. Check it out here.

When it comes to collabs, no one does it quite like The North Face. The Arctic activewear brand has recently formed partnerships with the likes of SKIMS, Cecilie Bahnsen and SASHIKO GALS, but the latest collaboration with Loyle Carner might just be their coldest yet. The campaign is all about connecting with your inner child, embracing curiosity and exploration; core values key to both The North Face ethos and Carner’s introspective, confessional lyricism. To do this, they’ve released a short film featuring Carner biking around London in full The North Face clobber, because there’s nothing like a puffer to keep you warm in the city’s unforgiving January. What we love most about this partnership is that the brand hasn’t actually announced any new products (as of yet). It’s all about celebrating what we already know and love, from both the artist and the brand. In a world of cyclical fashion, obsessed with replacing rather than re-using, this collab proves that clothes built to last never go out of style. What is more, Carner’s doing an exclusive show with the brand this Saturday (31 January). They’re hiding wristbands around the capital to gain entry, with info over on their Instagram. The treasure-hunt campaign re-emphasises the brand’s tagline, ‘Never Stop Exploring’, whether that’s mountains, metropolis or your mind. Oof, that’s deep.

Following all those Men’s Fashion Weeks, we’ve got another menswear brand to spotlight this week (don’t say we never give you boys anything). Yves Salomon Homme prides itself on classic silhouettes and materials executed well, and their FW26/27 collection is no exception. It’s all about quiet confidence: classic silhouettes and luxury materials executed well, as opposed to loud logos shouting out the brand’s name. A true gentleman never tells. While a lot of the pieces are understated, the larger-than-life, silver-fox fur coat calls to mind Frank Lucas waltzing down to Madison Square Gardens in a chinchilla coat (without the $100,000 price tag). Iconic. We’re patiently waiting for the collection to drop to the public, but in the meantime, you can check out their FW25/26 capsule here.

Finally, something for the ladies. Streetwear brand The Couture Club have clocked onto the idea that Alpine culture is about more than just skiing. It’s about looking good, duh. That’s why their new collection, Après Club, celebrates what we love most about a ski trip: sitting pretty with a steaming hot chocolate and watching other people do all the hard work. The collection is all about style and functionality merging, so you can look as good on the slopes as you do off them, if you do choose to grace them with your presence after all. Pieces like the Ripstop Windbreaker and Sculpting Stretch Emblem Leggings are your best friends for the slopes, whereas the Cord Faux Fur Bomber Jacket and matching Cord Barrel Leg Trousers are the perfect companion for sipping a hot toddy in the chalet, but still durable enough to keep you warm. The capsule drops today, so make sure to get in on the action before it’s a full-blown avalanche. Find women’s here and men’s here.
