We’re back with the first The Goat of 2026 and, as ever, London’s New Year’s gift to us has been torrential rain. Needless to say, many of our most fashionable shoes just aren’t cut out for it (a moment of silence for all the kitten heel boots we’ve lost to water damage this season, you will be missed). Well, take this as your sign to save yourself a trip to the cobblers, because Dr. Martens is re-releasing its iconic Buzz collection pulled straight from the ’90s archive. As you know, when it comes to winter shoes, Docs are about the best in the biz, and though the stompers in this collection are a lot more feminine and playful than what we’ve generally been seeing from the brand, they are by no means fairweather friends. Leading the pack (pun intended) is the Buzz 5-Eye Dalmation Shoe, a super chunky low-rise shoe with dalmatian spots painted on real hair, but set on leather, so they’re as durable as they are beautiful. We also love the Buzz Strap Velcro Shoe, which comes in a rich chocolate brown with dusty rose piping and comes out on 5 February. With the nostalgic colour combo and thick velcro strap in place of traditional laces, it’s giving us major Polly Pocket energy, and we’re obsessed. There’s also got a pair of calf-length boots in the same colourway, if that’s more your bag.

If you’d rather skip the winter altogether, South Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster’s spring Bouquet Collection has us dreaming of warmer weather. “Florals for spring”, it’s hard not to conjure up the image of Miranda Priestly rolling her eyes and scoffing “groundbreaking”, but trust us when we say that this collection actually is. Firstly, it has the seal of approval from the hottest couple of the moment, Jordan Hemingway and FKA Twigs, who co-directed the campaign film. It features everything from a twerking bee to Twigs pole dancing down a flower stem — not unlike Lil Nas X on his journey down to hell in the ‘MONTERO (Call Me by Your Name)’ music video — except it’s backed by an unreleased track made by Twigs especially for the campaign. It’s deliciously camp but tastefully done, though the real seller, of course, are the products in the collection themselves. Our fave piece is Bouquet 02, an avant-garde pair of silver wraparound glasses with 3D floral stems on the arms. There are plenty more understated options up for grabs, too, if the office siren aesthetic is more your thing.

Every time an alternative girl has to de-gothify herself for the gym, it feels like a baddie is losing her wings. Piercings are taken out, eyeliner is taken off, tattoos are covered; put on a matching baby pink activewear set and you’ve practically got yourself a Clean Girl. Enter: Named Collective’s new activewear capsule, Nth ACTIVE. The brand that gave us gothic trackies is back at it again, ensuring you can look as ominous as possible, even when you’re panting on the stairmaster. The whole capsule is in black and grey (obviously), and features details like tattoo-inspired laser designs on the matching Cyber set. It goes without saying that that’s the collection’s big hitter for the HUNGER team, but there are also some gorgeous monogram sweat sets and football jerseys up for grabs, too.

Of course, chic activewear isn’t just for the ladies, which is why we’re spotlighting fellow East-London brand Saul Nash’s latest genderless collection. Here’s the DL: it’s titled EMBRACE, and is all about intimacy, fluidity and physical connection (read: sex). It takes inspo from tailoring as well as sportswear, but every piece is designed specifically for fluidity of movement, so you’re set for whatever kind of cardio you have in mind (wink, wink). The standout piece has to be the Asymmetric Henley Shirt, which comes in three different colourways, and is made from bamboo, so you know it’s silky soft. It features asymmetrical buttons which can be unfastened across the chest, because why not free the nip when you’re working out? Part One of the drop is out now, and we’ll be keeping an eye out for when the rest of it lands.

Ever since Hailey Bieber posted that video munching sushi in a sheet mask, skincare has become more than just a wellness routine: it’s a style statement, too. Chanel has obviously cottoned on to this, and that’s why its released the ultimate self-care accessory in the monogrammed LE LIFT Flash Eye Patches. They’re packed with anti-aging and de-puffing ingredients, and while you only need to leave them on for five minutes for them to work their magic, they’re so chic that you’ll want to keep them on all day. No doubt that sipping an ice cold ’booch wearing under-eye masks is about to be the hottest selfie trend in the Instagram luxury wellness space, so if you want to stay ahead of the curve, we recommend grabbing some before they’re snapped up quicker than you can say ‘sushi’.

Ending things how we started with another classic shoe revival. Converse’s Chuck Taylor All Stars have been around for over a hundred years, and while the shoe has never really gone out of style, this 2010s-core collection comes just as our feeds are flooded with people reminiscing the 2016 Insta-baddie era. Essentially, the brand is really leaning into the idea that, since the OG Chuck Taylors are made from canvas, the style serves as a great metaphorical canvas for new ideas. So, Converse is releasing three new interpretations of the classic shoe across the year, starting with a suede Chuck Taylor Lo with contrast stitching and a ’90s-inspired Chuck Taylor All Star Throwback with super chunky laces. There’ll also be a new Run Star Crush launching, with a supersized platform sole and two sets of laces. They’re uber maximalist, and though they’re made for running races, the croc-skin faux leather is the perfect statement for running errands in and the like. Release dates for each shoe are yet to be confirmed, so watch this space.
