The best looks from Tokyo Fashion Week

Tokyo Fashion Week may have come to an end, but the excitement hasn’t worn off — and neither has the impression made by the many layers of steampunk silhouettes and draping features. To celebrate its twentieth anniversary, this year’s Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo featured captivating designers’ like Viviano Sue and Chika Kisada, following the motive of ‘Be The Seam That Connects The World’, a theme manifested through stitches of leather, lace and identity for SS26. Whilst gothic romanticism flirts with the timeless charm of preppy pristine, the early 2000s are revisited with the drape of a flared boat-neck motif with lofty dimensions. At its core, Tokyo Fashion Week explores the delicacy of intertwining fashion styles with artistic innovation, revealing each designer’s meticulous intuition and faith in their own inquisitive minds.
