Gracie Abrams and Jennie play hide and seek in Chanel Coco Crush’s new campaign film

The Chanel Fine Jewellery ambassadors, and their It-girl posses, explore the art of connection in ‘Coco Crush: Hide & Seek’.

Earlier this month, new Chanel Fine Jewellery ambassador Gracie Abrams hosted one of the most talked about dinners of the decade. Celebrating the singer (and soon to be actor’s) new appointment and the latest instalment to the maison’s Coco Crush collection, a star-studded guestlist flocked to LA’s storied Château Marmont. Abrams welcomed the It-crowd comprising everyone from Gabbriette to Conan Gray; and, of course, Lily Allen, who gave an exclusive performance of songs from her new album, West End Girl.

The theme of the night was ‘Hide and Seek’, a motif that the Sunset Boulevard hotel reflected in its transformed interiors and interactive photo moments. This was, of course, a prelude to the anticipated Coco Crush campaign video, starring Abrams and fellow Chanel Fine Jewellery ambassador Jennie. Just as the jewellery collection pays homage to personal connections through its quilted-pattern-inspired, intersecting-line motifs, the campaign film explores the art of connection through an impromptu game of Hide and Seek.

Returning to the scene of the dinner party, the Gordon Von Steiner-directed film transforms Château Marmont into a playground for fine jewellery. Starring Jennie as the seeker and Gracie Abrams as the hider, the campaign follows the singers’ intertwined paths through intimate corridors and hidden spaces, capturing the thrill of discovery and unexpected connection. An exceptional supporting cast includes Mona Tougaard, Lulu Tenney, Mathilda Gvarliani, Akon Changkou and Qun Ye, who compound Coco Crush: Hide & Seek’s message that some encounters, whether planned or stumbled upon, leave a lasting mark worth wearing forever.
