Chanel is bringing Paris to Edinburgh with their latest pop-up
Chanel is pulling out all the stops for the release of its new lipstick, Rouge Allure Velvet Nuit Blanche, and opening a temporary beauty boutique in Edinburgh – the Scottish capital that the label’s founder adored – next month.
The pop-up experience, which opens March 9th, will be “unique”, according to the company and “to feel like an exciting night time excursion where night owls can discover a curated experience for the launch of Rouge Allure Velvet Nuit Blanche”.
Alongside the announcement of the store, Chanel has revealed behind-the-scenes images of its campaign featuring Barbie herself, Margot Robbie. Meanwhile, the lipstick itself lands as a limited edition, luminous lipstick available in eight different shades, one for every hour of the night.
The pop-up will be in one of the Scottish city’s Robert Adam-designed buildings at number 8 Charlotte Square. The company said the building has been “reimagined to showcase this new collection and a selection of beauty over two floors”.
The journey into the space includes Chanel “beauty experts who will be in attendance to guide guests through the experience”. The first stop in the pop-up will be the cinema, where visitors will see the Nuit Blanche campaign film with the beauty advisors on hand to invite them to “play with an interactive digital clock and discover their favourite lipstick shades”.
There will also be a backstage area where they can try on those shades and explore the products used to create the nighttime makeup look worn by Robbie in the campaign. Additionally, and exclusive to Edinburgh, there will be pre-bookable Chanel School of Make-up masterclasses.
So, grab yourself an Irn-Bru, ready your makeup bag and head up to Scotland come March, as the pop-up will run seven days a week until March 30th.
