That Phoebe Philo-shaped hole in your soul is going to be filled very soon after the beloved CELINE designer finally confirmed a date of October 30th, 2023, for the launch of her own high-anticipated luxury label. Almost two years after announcing she’d be returning to the world of fashion in 2021, Philo launched an Instagram account to confirm her new project in early 2023, though she’s been teasing the new eponymous line since early 2020. Philo’s early 2023 IG post confirmed that the Phoebe Philo brand would “open for registration in July” before its inaugural collection launched towards the end of 2023 (a date that’s now been confirmed as October 30th).
H&M x Rabanne
The Rabanne H&M collection has just been announced, and it’s definitely one to be excited about. It marks the high-street brand’s second designer collaboration of the year after the success of Mugler H&M, with news of it breaking last night in Paris when the two labels celebrated with a star-studded event at the city’s iconic Silencio nightclub. The event showcased a number of the pieces from the collab, including sequin mini skirts and sheer dresses. The collection will be available to shop online on November 9th.
Moncler x adidas Originals
Titled ‘The Art of Explorers’, Moncler and adidas Originals’ latest collaboration builds on the duo’s ‘The Art of Genius’ show that first unveiled the collaborative capsule at London Fashion Week in February. Now, the collection is available to view in its entirety, with new wacky puffers — with long and short silhouettes — coming alongside a new line of track jackets and vests. It’s no doubt one of the wildest drops we’ve seen this year and it’ll be available to shop via the official Moncler and adidas websites from October 4th.
Fred Perry x Raf Simons
After fifteen years of collaboration, Raf Simons’ Fred Perry chapter is coming to an end. The Belgian designer, who has riffed on British counterculture since his first Fred Perry link-up in 2003, has released his final capsule alongside the celebrated label, which is available online now. And, true to form, F/W23 once again sees Simons look to late eighties and early nineties Britain, a time when life was tough, but communities came together with a particular focus around music, fashion, and friendship.
NOCTA
Drake once said, “It’s a marathon, not a sprint, but I still gotta win the race.” Now, the musician is dropping a collection of running gear. The latest NOCTA gear made for a pleasant surprise on retailers’ launch calendars recently, revealing two running jackets, a short-sleeve zip-up top, running shorts, and a hat. A landscape-y camouflage pattern leads the collection, dressing the NOCTA Running gear along with some black colour blocking. If we’ve learned anything from Drake’s snakeskin shoes and icy sweatsuits (and even his own personal style), it’s that the musician loves statement fashion. Set to release at NOCTA (October 4) and Nike (October 5), NOCTA’s Running collection also offers up crew 3PR-160 socks in six vibrant flavours, including white/blue and black/yellow.
Balenciaga
There’s a new Balenciaga sneaker in town, and like its previous footwear, the latest is a big one, maybe even the brand’s biggest yet. ‘Cargo’ is the name of Balenciaga’s newest shoe, and, as the moniker suggests, it carries some weight. Balenciaga’s Cargo sneaker rests on a massive, exaggerated sole, which looks like a sneaker’s base on steroids. As for the shoe’s present state, Balenciaga’s Cargo sneaker just debuted during the brand’s Summer 2024 presentation and is already available on Balenciaga’s website.
Aries x ROA
Looking to get outdoors this season without sacrificing style? Well, Aries have come in clutch with their latest collab, partnering up with ROA and reinterpreting their chunky hiker. The new rendition adds a symmetrical toe box, which is highlighted by reflective taping and laced with Aries’ signature flecked climbing cord. Arriving in two colours – all-black and zebra “pony” skin, each with an original co-branded logo on the outer high-top collar. Luckily, Aries x ROA actually dropped today (and can be purchased here) so you won’t have to wait any longer to plan your next adventure.
