VERO Presents: Josie Man exclusive live session

VERO teams up with HUNGER to showcase the best musical talents of 2020...

After launching an acoustic version of the Pussycat Dolls comeback single “React”, VERO and HUNGER have turned their attentions to Britain’s burgeoning talents, the ones that are ready to make their mark on the music industry. First up, we meet Josie Man.

Born and raised in South London with parents from Chinese descent, Josie grew up surrounded by both her Cantonese-speaking and South East London family. “I invented my own language and my own universe of colours and symbols,” she says of her youth. “I learnt that there is more than one way to be. Rules of being can be blurred. It’s okay to eat baked beans with chopsticks!”

At just 21 years old, she’s shunning her shyness and carefully building upon her burgeoning musical career. She recently released her first EP, the 5-track masterpiece aLOVINGboothang, from which she performed a stripped-back version of “Baby Pink and Blue” for her VERO x HUNGER live session.

Check out her stripped-back version of “Baby Pink & Blue” via the video below.

The Josie Man live session is part of a new music series by the authentic social network VERO, Rankin and Hunger Magazine.
