The Berlin photographer capturing neo-vintage glamour
“I started photography more as a fun thing to fill my time with,” Laura tells HUNGER. “[I was] taking snaps on a 35mm point and shoot camera at parties and of my cat – but for the past year I have gotten more serious with it and became really captivated turning the images I had in my mind into actual photographs.
“Most of my photographs are very candid and a lot look like film stills,” she adds.” I snap away during movements of people feeling free, to capture unique moments, raw energy and wild minds. A big visual influence is my nostalgia for the 60s and 70s, so those colour schemes and vintage glamour always sneak into my pictures (I exclusively shoot on film).”
“I love Hedi Slimane, as a designer as well as a photographer,” she says. “His uncompromising aesthetics and love for rock’n’roll glamour is inspiring to stick to your own ideas and follow your own heart no matter what.”
