Ryan Gosling’s PDA Ken-ergy is inspiring a new couple’s jewellery trend

The girlies are fawning over the necklace Ryan Gosling wore to the Barbie movie world premiere on the 9th of July. Gosling, who will be playing Ken, wore a crisp salmon pink suit with a matching shirt underneath that was slightly unbuttoned to reveal the ‘E’ necklace dangling around his neck.

In the same font as the Barbie logo, the bright pink letter was attached to a silver ball chain in this sweet and subtle nod to his IRL wife Eva Mendes. The pair have been together for over a decade, but have kept their relationship very private throughout that time. Mendes revealed the pair got secretly married at some point, during the 12 years since they met on the set of the 2012 film The Place Beyond the Pines. They also have two daughters called Esmerelda and Amada.

This Ken loves his wife it would seem, and the girls are begging everyone to take note. In the era of soft launches and subtle PDA, the general consensus is that you make your relationship status noticeable but not obvious, which is admittedly a fine if not difficult balance to achieve. So an initial necklace? Perfect.
