Move over, Venezia, there’s a new king of blokecore taking to the pitch

Footy and fashion fans combined are drooling at the reveal of Athens Kallithea FC’s latest kits.

Venezia FC held the crown for football’s most fashionable kit for long enough, and now a new rising star, Athens Kallithea FC, has taken its spot in the first 11.

The Athens-based outfit had a similarly impressive kit last season but have now revealed their uniforms for the 2023/24 campaign, and they’ve taken things to the next level once more.

The navy kit has an air of classic elegance about it, reminding us of something from the nineties. With its elbow-length sleeve and button-up collar, it’s hard not to imagine stars from football’s golden era donning the kit. We’d certainly pay good money to go back in time and see Eric Cantona slap one into the top corner in a kit as stunning as this.

When it comes to the Athens Kallithea FC away kit, less is most certainly more. It’s something very much more of the now, with its gold and white detailing and a pleasing crew neck collar.

So impressive are the uniforms it won’t be a surprise to see them have an instantaneous sell-out similar to what we saw last season. In fact, such is football’s recent willingness to embrace the world of fashion — and the fact that these new kits are even nicer than last year’s — they’ll fly off the e-shelves even faster this time around.

Like last season, Athens Kallithea teamed up with Munich-based design studio, Bureau Borsche, to help deliver the two jerseys, both of which are more than worthy of a space in anybody’s closet.

Each kit features the ΕΜΣΤ wordmark of the National Museum of Contemporary Art Athens on its chest, which marks a first-of-its-kind partnership between a professional football club and an arts and culture institution.

The shirts — which are slated to be landing in early September — will be available exclusively on and inside the ΕΜΣΤ museum shop.
