“Chopper: I love skipping to this song. It sounds like a skipping rope at the beginning that just gets faster and faster and fills me with so much energy.
Work: this song, there have been a million remixes. I’m not even sure if this is the exact mix on some of the old funky mixes I work out too, but the lyrics’ work harder now, put your back in it’ how can that not push you? Denise’s voice is so punchy; she really carries you through”
Marva (Rinse label Manager) – Striker
“As label manager, I have to go with two Rinse tunes! It says a lot about a track if I can work on getting it released for months and months and STILL want to listen to it over and over again once it’s released. These two tracks pass that test with flying colours. ”
Labs (Rinse artist management) – Defender
“Voodoo Child: I love training to this song! I usually play this when warming up, and the guitar solo pumps me up for the session ahead.
Persuasive: I’ve really enjoyed training to this newer song. The tempo is just right, and it makes me feel like I can do ANYTHING! I usually play it during days that I’m really feeling my greatest and it pushes me through difficult parts of my workout.”
Emily (Rinse general manager): – Midfielder
“Coldcut & Hexstatic – Timber. An early Ninja Tune classic, one of my favourite tracks of all time and one I grew up listening to. Gets me hyped!
Eliza Rose & Interplanetary Criminal – B.O.T.A. This track is everywhere at the moment, and rightly so, so sick! On repeat at the moment and a key track on my running/skating playlist.”
Riya (Radio producer): – Midfielder
“Baile Funk, Dembow and Reggaeton are three genres that are beginning to define this London Summer for me! They’re hype tunes and possess a nuts ability to get everyone on the dance floor swiftly. Perreo translates to ‘Twerk’, and that’s all you’ve got to say!
Vai Sentir came out in March just as we were seeing light at the end of the dark, Wintery tunnel. I’ve heard it countless times on the radio, in clubs and at festivals, yet it never ceases to stop making me do a weird robot dance. Shoutout to On Loop and Nicola Cruz!”
Sasha Keable: – Striker
“Battle – wookie. If I ever feel shit, this song reminds me to keep going, and that’s the energy I need when I’m training. Also, it’s just an absolute classic.
B.O.T.A – Eliza Rose She’s absolutely amazing, and this has been my tune of the summer.”
AZ: (Presenter) – Striker
“Mura Masa (feat. Pa Salieu & Skillibeng) – Blessing Me. Something about anything Skillibeng touches gasses me up. The flow on this tune is a head banger, but I find myself screwface skanking waiting for the Skilli verse. The bpm of this tune is more fitted to my Avg. Pace on my running apps, to be honest. Nerd – Lap Dance. This tune makes me feel like I’m in some mad beefy whip in the states bouncingggggggggggggg on the hydraulics. Some badass rockstar shit makes me just wanna run faster even if my fitness can’t keep up.”
