Five trends we loved from Barcelona Fashion Week

Set in the art nouveau surroundings of Recinte Modernista de Sant Pa, there’s something a little bit magical about 080 Barcelona Fashion Week.

With nearly forty designers showing over five action packed days, it’s a whirlwind look at artistry coming out of the Catalan capital right now. There’s no snobbery here, the vibe is buzzing with the shows open to public, bloggers, press and buyers alike, and there’s plenty of inspiration to be had.

Conceptual streetwear, playful resort wear and sustainable tailoring co-exist on the Barcelona fashion scene, and the city’s designers aren’t afraid to confront the region’s tumultuous politics either. Here are some of our favourite looks from this season’s collections.
