Five standout moments from Moschino’s SS19 show
And the bride wore…a giant bubble dress and tights with childlike scribbles. Ever the master of fashion satire on the runway, Jeremy Scott’s Moschino collection for SS19 was anything but understated. Enter the Moschino atelier this season and it’s all chic chemisiers, devastating-lady tailoring, pussy bow blouses, and full arsenal of super-sexy, super-bourgeois day-dresses “that Scott has been sketching spring forth onto the runway,” according to show notes. With a rather cheeky note at the end: “Sure, they’re not quite done". As the ‘Unfinished Business’ title of the collection suggests, it was a celebration of playful irreverence, colour, pattern clashing and hyper-eveningwear. Like a kid delighted upon stumbling across their mother’s wedding dress and chic two-pieces. Scott poses the question, “is this real life or is this just fantasy?”
