Fans slam Kylie Jenner after ‘tone deaf’ private jet post
Kylie Jenner was ridiculed by fans for a tone-deaf post on her Instagram account on Friday (15th June), where she showed off his and hers private jets, in reference to her boyfriend, Travis Scott. The beauty mogul captioned the image: “You wanna take yours or mine”.
In the picture, Jenner and Scott are seen hugging each other with both of their private jets on either side and a Rolls Royce in between. Their daughter, Stormi Webster, is also seen hugging both her parents.
It’s safe to say fans weren’t best pleased with the post, pointing out the current climate crisis and cost of living being at an all-time high. One Twitter user laid out their frustrations, saying: “Says a lot about how out of touch the Kardashian/Jenner clan are when Kylie thinks now, when most of the world is struggling with basic living costs, is the perfect time to post a photo bragging about private planes.”
Another user also showed their displeasure with Jenner’s antics, stating: “Just remembered how Kylie Jenner uses her private jet to make 3 minute flights,” followed by an image of the flight records confirming the claim.
“Kylie Jenner out here picking which colour private jet she wanna take today meanwhile I gotta chug my iced coffee before my straw turns to paper mache??? Explain,” Added another individual.
Celebs have long been criticised for their unethical luxury air travel, with actor Joaquin Phoenix even calling for a more climate considerate travelling approach at the 2020 Oscars: “We don’t have to take private jets to Palm Springs,” he stated.
