Brockmans has launched the most punk gin bottle you’ve ever seen

And it doubles as jewellery…

Brockmans has created the most punkish gin bottle there ever was. The B Corp-certified gin brand has partnered with provocateur-slash-jeweller Ling Chen to create an ultra-limited-edition bottle that blurs the lines between beverage and statement accessory. Each bottle of Brockmans’ flagship gin, Brockmans Intensely Smooth, is adorned with Chen’s signature Punk Sym Rings, which can be detached from the bottle and worn as an equally punkish piece of jewellery.

The collaboration feels like a natural marriage of rebellious spirits (if you’ll excuse the pun). Where Chen’s debut collection Rebellion Reimagined was inspired by subculture symbols, such as chains and spikes from the punk movement, Brockmans is all about breaking the rules of what traditional gin should be — they even have a tagline of ‘Properly Improper’. Together, the collaboration makes an upmarket ode to the punk aesthetic that’s as fitting for Chen as it is the gin brand.

Brockmans’ partnership with Chen isn’t an isolated incident, though. It’s only the latest in a series of cultural collaborations that they’ve put on with On|Off, a pioneering platform that champions innovation in British fashion and who spotlighted Chen for her “outstanding and visually arresting” work. In the past, Brockmans and On|Off have worked together on exhibits like The Disruptors, which celebrated creatives reshaping fashion, art and technology.

Fittingly for a meeting of the fashion and F&B worlds, these limited-edition bottles were unveiled for the first time at an exclusive launch at London’s Creative Jewellery Hub, Forge. Buying one is an equally exclusive feat — you can only get your hands on them at Hedonism Wines, Mayfair, where they retail for £999.
