Who. What. Where? No. 63
Stüssy has conquered clothes and footwear, thanks to its consistently good seasonal collections and buzzy footwear team-ups. Next, the California-based label gets into the jewellery game. That’s right. Stüssy has revealed its first-ever jewellery collection, defined as “a contemporary play on classic jewellery styles with a Stüssy twist,” according to the brand’s press release. The collection is pretty much everything you’d expect from the brand: silver, understated, and plenty of Stüssy-ness. There’s a sterling silver necklace featuring a Stüssy “S” pendant. At the same time, the Stüssy “SS” link tops a silver ring stamped with more branding. Stüssy’s collection rounds off with a charm bracelet adorned with dangly peace signs, pearls, Stüssy dice, and yes, more 8-Balls. Stüssy’s jewellery collection lands on Stüssy’s website on March 1st.
Next up, iconic streetwear label BAPE has introduced The BAPE® CROSS STA, inspired by the brand’s rich history and elements of life. A classic sports shoe foundation characterises the new design, but it is brought into the future with modern elements inspired by on-the-go urban living, such as flashy colourways and advanced construction. The new BAPE® CROSS STA features multi-panel mesh and nubuck construction that is linked together by 3M piping and lines and a new striped TPU BAPE STATM STA logo. For lasting comfort, the uppers are joined with a thick-padded midsole with a Vibram outsole. With BAPE’s new offering, you no longer need to worry about sacrificing style for comfort. The BAPE® CROSS STA is now available online.
The word Ferrari immediately brings up connotations of speed, luxury, and, of course, red, all of which were brought to the runway this Milan Fashion Week, in what became a standout showing. Because it’s Ferrari, the collection displayed plenty of the classic Rossa Corsa colour – pleasure-inducing red fur coats, asymmetric skirts, thigh-high boots, and an open-collar shirt took over the scene, while some looks were accompanied by heavy-duty gloves reminiscent of those worn by the F1 team. Meanwhile, the red in the collection was wonderfully juxtaposed through a series of black patented suits, furry elbow-length gloves, blazers, and PVC-style boots. The collection is topped off with metallic-looking suits and a dress, a nod to the Ferrari’s own motorsport rims, where a touch of red was infused in, reminding us all of the brand’s DNA.
Finally, Kiko Kostadinov, Heaven by Marc Jacobs and ASICS SportStyle have cooked up a three-way collaboration that adds New York City rats to the mix – as seen in the official campaign. The trio of collaborators are releasing a textural range of ready-to-wear and footwear that features new eclectic graphic works, denim washes and statement knitwear. Playful hoodies, long sleeves and skirts are paired with a GEL-LOKROSTM silhouette arriving in three colourways and feature a quilted upper, an elastic fastening system made with metal-like straps alongside cushioning flora treads. The collaboration is available now on Marc Jacobs and Kiko‘s websites.
