Who. What. Where? No. 52

Welcome to HUNGER’s Who. What. Where? Your one-stop shop for all the latest and greatest upcoming events and releases. Whether you’re looking for your next injection of culture or just something to freshen up your wardrobe, you’ll only find the best of it here.

Kicking off this week’s Who. What. Where? is BAPE, who are celebrating a 2nd year of the brand’s flagship store in Mayfair, London with the launch of a new capsule, taking inspiration from the city. The London-centric seven-piece drop is comprised of BAPE’s most iconic modern looks, shot in a campaign featuring UK rap star Unknown T. Whilst the label has previously used the British red, white and blue for their signature camouflage on previous London-launched collections, this is the first time that it’s appeared on the Sk8 Sta, College Tee, Big Ape Head Tee and Full Zip Double Shark Hoodie at the same time. So, if you’re looking to add a touch of patriotism to your fits, you can now shop the capsule here.

On the hunt for some wholesome musical goodness this festive season? Well, it doesn’t get much better than the debut London showcase of Lockeland Strings at the Union Chapel. Lockeland Strings is a community arts organisation hailing from Nashville that presents artists supported by a stunning string section, with their unique contribution gracing the performances of a wide array of artists, such as Kacey Musgraves, Caroline Spence, Lucie Silvas and Fancy, over in the US. Now, for the very first time in the UK, they’re bringing their string showcase to London with an incredible lineup featuring Matilda Mann, Eloise, Hohnen Ford, and Lydia Luce. Each artist will perform a handful of songs, supported by a nine-piece string section, amongst the backdrop of the enchanting Union Chapel in Islington. And finally, for this week’s playlist refresher, we have the latest offering from the founding member/producer of NYC’s Flatbush Zombies, Erick the Architect. Titled ‘Shook Up’, the sombre track features fellow Big Apple rapper Joey Bada$$ alongside vocalist and producer duo FARR. The smooth, jazz-centric production features sultry vocals provided by FARR, while Erick and Joey offer their own take on new love in an expected display of lyrical acrobatics. The Brooklyn-born artist has released three solo EPs to date and is now gearing up for the release of his debut album, I’ve Never Been Here Before. Now living in LA and following the death of his mother, Erick The Architect is entering a new chapter of his career, and if ‘Shook Up’ is anything to go by, it won’t disappoint.
