The Jazz Cafe has a new series bringing artists and fans closer

The content series, aptly named Stage Side, kicked off with an intimate look at The Compozers' residency at the venue.

It’s no secret that we here at HUNGER are very proud to be based in Camden. Home to everything from Zombie Punk to Cyberdog, the borough’s greatest treasure has to be The Jazz Cafe. Whilst the neighbouring Roundhouse might attract larger crowds from further afield, The Jazz Cafe is beloved by locals for its ambiance: both buzzy and welcoming.

Thanks to the venue’s intimate capacity and curated calendar spotlighting more niche talent — it’s no secret that everyone in Camden suffers with a little bit of an individuality complex — what makes The Jazz Cafe so special is the audience’s ability to really connect with the performers.

To bring the fans even more of a bespoke experience, the venue has launched its new multimedia content series: Stage Side. A smorgasbord of behind-the-scenes shots, interviews and performance footage from the venue, as well as exclusive day-in-the-life content offering a glimpse into the artists’ lives off-stage, the series offers a chance for more intimate connection between artists and gig-goers.

The first instalment of the series dropped yesterday, featuring The Compozers — the Ghanian-British band who completed a month-long residency at the venue back in October. Having previously collaborated with iconic names such as J Hus and Tiwa Savage to name a couple, the video delves into the Afrobeats band’s creative process, before capturing the electric atmosphere at the final night of their residency.

Make sure to check out the first episode above, and don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for more artists to be revealed across the year.
