Five photographers challenging our perceptions of beauty

A new generation of photographers are redefining what it means to be beautiful.

In the age of image standards being dictated by corporations, brands and ad agencies, the definition of beauty has become inseparable from what we see on screens, on billboards or the runway. The calls for widening that definition continue to grow, though,  as a new generation of image makers see beyond the narrow parameters set by multinationals. Here are five of our favourite photographers who refuse to adhere to the symettry and slenderness maxim and whose work continues to challenge our arbitrary beauty criteria.
