Kicking off this week’s WWW is the Y-3 and Real Madrid Matchwear collection. The collection marks another collaboration between adidas’ Y-3 and the renowned football club, expanding their partnership with a range of sportswear that blends stylish design with functionality. This collection includes kits, shorts, an anthem jacket, a tee, and a hoodie, all designed with performance in mind, featuring adidas’ HEAT.RDY technology for moisture management. A standout is the purple 4th kit for both the men’s and women’s teams, complemented by goalkeeper kits and a pre-match kit, all adorned in Real Madrid’s classic colours. Accessories such as a crossbody bag, cap, and scarf, bearing a signature rose motif symbolic of the early collaborations between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto, further enrich the collection. Additionally, special edition Predator boots and Goalkeeper gloves will be released alongside the Matchwear items. The collection is now available online at adidas, in adidas stores, on Real Madrid’s website, and in Real Madrid stores.
Next up, if you’re on the hunt for fresh music this week, singer-songwriter Yellow Days recently released his latest single ‘Finer Things In Life’ ahead of his upcoming album Hotel Heaven, out this Friday. Acting as the final teaser for his record, the track features nostalgic indie pop guitars behind Yellow Days’ buttery smooth vocals as he riffs on the impact of materialism in modern society, and why the finest things in life are often the most simple. “I’ve never cared about nice stuff, my trousers have cigarette burns in them. Some of my shirts have stains, I’d eat just about anything, and I hate snobbery,” Yellow Days says of the song. The only thing that I care about is being with the one I love. That’s the finer things to me.” Following the release of Hotel Heaven, Yellow Days will also be embarking on a huge EU tour including a one-off London stop on April 12th, at Camden’s KOKO venue.
Finally, viral accessories label Urban Sophistication, mostly known for their unique signature iPhone cases, has announced the launch of their latest product – The Crayon Bag, ‘Bow Edition’. The bag pays homage to the nostalgic crayon through double straps that mimic the signature black lines of a crayon, offering a subtle nod to those carefree days when it was just you, an A4 and a rainbow of colours. Meanwhile, the campaign for the bag pulls from Marlboro ads from the 50s, which portrayed rugged men in wild terrain smoking filtered cigarettes. The ads were originally conceived as a way to popularise filtered cigarettes, which at the time were considered feminine. In its latest campaign, the brand pays homage to the Marlboro Man. This time carrying a bow bag instead of a cigarette. Made from glazed vegan leather, this new iteration of the Crayon Bag is available here in two sizes: classic and bite-size, with options for one or two bows.
