Zendaya’s first Louis Vuitton campaign has the internet in a flurry

Marking the first campaign between the fashion house and actress, Zendaya takes on their iconic Capucines bag.

Zendaya has just been announced as one of the new ambassadors of luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton – and fans can’t get enough. LV revealed the partnership through a series of campaign images and a short film, where the model and actress was revealed as the face of the iconic Capucines bag.

The bag itself was launched a decade ago by the brand and won its namesake thanks to the street where LV first opened his shop in 1854. It has become one of the brand’s most recognisable silhouettes and is crafted out of Taurillon leather, giving it a matte and grained finish. The interchangeable strap styling options of shoulder, cross-body, and handheld make it both stylish and functional.

Zendaya also agrees, telling Vogue that “If I buy something I want it to really last me. I’m not always the most responsible bag owner, so I might be throwing it around, it might get some real wear in it, you know, because I want to really use it, and it feels so sturdy.”

In response to the campaign, which was shot at the Roquebrune-Cap-Martin house designed by architect Eileen Gray, fans flocked to the internet in awe of the star’s news. “Oh, Zendaya is giving Bond Girl here. The brows! And the smize! Charlie’s angels c’mon,” tweeted one fan. “Serving looks for Louis Vuitton,” said another

“I’m sorry but Louis Vuitton is TAKING IT. This trio of ambassadors is pure excellence! Hoyeon Jung, Hyein Lee, & Zendaya. They couldn’t have chosen better representatives,” shared another fan of the recent ambassadors, referring to the likes of Jung from the successful TV series Squid Game also being on the LV lineup.

Many were also quick to point out that the campaign was styled by longtime collaborator Law Roach, who handed in the notice for his retirement earlier this year. Luckily for fans, he circled back for the shoot, with the historic campaign marking the first time the brand’s mini Capucines was pictured for an ad.
