Who. What. Where?

The Mancunian group have quickly built up a name for themselves thanks to their electrifying sets; it’s certainly an event you won’t want to miss. The experience brings world-class DJs, as well as a carefully curated selection of arts and bespoke production, to the fray. The collective will be joined by the likes of AJ Christou, wAFF, Calvin Clarke, Fletch, and many more. Don’t miss out and secure your tickets for MVSON WORLD here.
Next, Jamaican rum brand Wray & Nephew have partnered with Black Pound Day to create a limited edition physical ‘Black Pound’. Designed by Leah Jacobs-Gordon, the coin is a symbol to raise awareness of the challenges faced by Black business owners and entrepreneurs in the UK when it comes to obtaining financial funding. The move comes following a study from Wray & Nephew that found that Black business owners are twice as likely to have to wait up to two years for a business loan compared to non-Black business owners. The illustrated coin became available from today from the Black Pound Day shops at both of London’s Westfield sites, and consumers who buy a product of any price from the store will now receive one of the limited edition coins.

We’d say it’s pretty acceptable to splash out on a crazy accessory every now and then, but it has to be worth it. There’s nothing worse than attempting to flog that ridiculously pricey bag you purchased last year because it no longer fits your aesthetic. When it comes to Roger Vivier’s latest collection of luxurious handbags, though, it’s probably something you won’t tire of staring at. Designed by Creative Director Gherardo Fellon, the label’s new Viv’ Choc Piéce Unique collection takes couture craftsmanship to new heights after being revealed at Paris Couture Week. With 15 entirely unique pieces, the bags show off a variety of embroidery and textile techniques, using sequins, feathers, crystals, threadwork and the like to create the pieces. The collection, devoted to the beauty of Paris, also includes pieces named after the Eiffel Tower, Versailles and Marie Antoinette.

While the sudden disappearance of the sun might put a slight damper on your weekend (or after-work) glass of wine, that doesn’t mean you can’t still freshen up your alcohol collection with a new addition. Let us introduce you to Severan Wine – the first Black-owned sparkling wine brand created in celebration of London’s extensive culture. Crafted from Chardonnay grapes before finishing off in the rolling hills of Hampshire, the wine arrives with a disincentive yet subtle taste. Backed by a board of Black and Brown investors, Severan was created by music mogul Dumi Oburota and is available to purchase here and at The Conduit.

Finally, after 12 long years, we’re finally getting our hands on another The Streets album. It’s been too long since we’ve heard Mike Skinner wax lyrical in his notorious vocal style over a full-length LP, but the wait is finally over. The Streets’ next album, The Darker The Shadow, The Brighter The Light, will be released on October 20th, accompanied by a film of the same name. In a press release, Skinner said: “It has been seven long years working on this film and album. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, and after dipping my toe in with some shorts and music videos, I felt I was ready.” Skinner has also announced a headline show at London’s iconic KOKO venue on November 16, in support of the new release.
