Ummm sorry, Cole Sprouse is giving us the ick after smoking indoors on ‘Call Her Daddy’

The ex-Disney Channel star and Riverdale actor is giving audiences the “super ick” after his recent guest appearance on the podcast Call Her Daddy.

Listeners of Call Her Daddy are roasting the podcast’s recent guest, former Disney Channel star and current Riverdale resident Cole Sprouse, following his interview with host Alex Cooper. “Why is Cole Sprouse smoking that cig like he’s Bob Dylan or something? Bestie you’re literally on Call Her Daddy,” says one Twitter user

Social media users have listened and watched the interview, in which Sprouse can be seen inhaling a lit cigarette inside the recording studio. Cooper asks about the three-year-long relationship between Sprouse and his co-star Lili Reinhart in Riverdale, the infamous Netflix show that has been dragged out for seven seasons and will reach its finale this year. “You had a relationship with a cast mate on Riverdale,” says Cooper. “How did you navigate a breakup with someone that you work with?”

Sprouse took a long inhale of his lit cigarette and replied by saying: “It was really hard. I know we both did quite a bit of damage to each other.” His answers remained diplomatic when reminiscing on the Riverdale romance, and his responses showed the alignment of a tortured artist persona to this reflective state.

Instagram page cigfluencers posted to their stories with the viral Tweet saying “He gives me the ick.” They then confirmed that Sprouse was not going to be making their grid post, which is comprised of iconic celeb snaps with the humble cigarette.

Cole Sprouse is so funny bro sitting indoors smoking a cigarette on call her daddy as if he’s mark twain and not the worst actor on a bad teen drama,” says one user.

In one of Riverdale’s most memeified scenes, where Sprouse plays the outcast stereotype Jughead Jones, his character says “In case you haven’t noticed I’m weird. I’m a weirdo. I don’t fit in. And I don’t want to fit in.” An uncanny parallel is drawn, as one user states, “After listening to Cole Sprouse on Call Her Daddy it’s making me think this scene wasn’t scripted…”

Elsewhere, some are making light of the situation, saying “I haven’t watched the entire Cole Sprouse Call Her Daddy interview yet but from the clips I’ve seen…does he actually think he’s Jughead Jones? Is he like method acting and still in character? Is the interview supposed to be camp?” Campness aside, the internet is still decoding the interview and whether Sprouse’s “icky” smoke breaks are actually justified.
