Palace is taking shots at Supreme, The North Face and Vans

The brand took aim through one of their typically cheeky product descriptions

2024 has already had its fair share of beef: there’s been a huge clash between Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj, Drake and Yasiin Bey have been going at it on social media, and now, the biggest names in streetwear are joining in the chaos.

Late last night (29th January), London-based skateboard and clothing brand Palace revealed their Spring 2024 Lookbook, featuring everything from varsity jackets to hoodies to the usual audacious product descriptions. Labelled by the London-based brand as “Basically a Jogger,” the item’s full description takes a not-so-subtle jab at Supreme while also getting Vans and the North Face caught up in the mix. In the eyes of Palace, anyone can get it.

“Basically a Jogger Palatial Blue,” the description reads. “If you think Supreme is realer than Palace you either stupid or work for Vans (or North Face).” Supreme, Vans and The North Face are all owned by the same parent company, the VF Corporation.

“Palace or Supreme?” has been a question asked by streetwear and skate heads since the dawn of time. And now, that argument has been reignited once more thanks to Palace’s jab.

“Supreme walked so Palace could run,” commented one Instagram user. However, others responded in disagreement. “Palace has surpassed Supreme if we’re being honest,” added another. “Don’t get me wrong, I love Supreme, but it has become so saturated, so now I’d just stick with Palace”.

The brand also brought a couple other cultural touchstones into the fray with this season’s descriptions, including “basically I’m not classist but if you rate Saltburn you’re a posh twat” as well as “Pizza Hut texts you more than your mates”.

So, it’s time to pick a side: Palace or Supreme?
